Ive been in the championship for three seasons now with Crystal Palace, finishing 11th, 6th and 8th.

I have a good squad (although desperately in need of a rb) with pacey strikers who can run with the ball.

I have tried the crack the 4-4-2 although i have decided this to be a useless tactic for fm08 (in the championship at least) and now play with a 4-1-3-2 formation.

I play short or mixed passing (home or away) with a medium width and a deep defence. I dont make many clear cut chances anymore (although i used to with the same tactic) but this is probably due to my stupid midfielders shooting whenever they get remotely near to the penalty area after playing some quality short passing football (their long shot setting is rarely and its not as if they dont have other options either).

Ive seen other posts about having this long shot problems, however i cant find any answers on how to stop at this time.

If anyone has any tips on anything to do with this topic i would love to hear them as im so frustrated right now.
