im sure everybody has seen the news article mentioning a strikers goal drought and how many hours he has now failed to find the net for.
Anyway my question is how can we turn these dry spells into purple patches?
i think there must be a few things to look at which can be used to help bring the player back from the dead.
-The Player interaction screen
-Pre Match team talks
-The individual tactics screen
-The Training schedules
im sure there may be more tools to affect the players goal scoring abilities.
Ive noticed with my players that tend to go on these runs that a lot of the time it is a keeper pulling off a finger tip save more than the player failing to hit the target and work the keeper.
Ive tried some things to help turn things around for players i have owned that have succumbed to this.
1. A training schedule which only contains shooting, aerobic and strengh training
2. Tell the player on the player interaction screen that his performances are just acceptable.
3. Tell the player there is no pressure on him before a match
4. Tell him i expect a performance.
and finally 5. do nothing
ive had some degree of success with these and im sure it depends a lot on the player mentality as to what works.
I was just wondering if anybody else had anything they try to bring some goals for the player.

(Striker name) fails to find the net yet again Post #2
The one thing I've done is try, by hook or by crook, to get him a goal.
For example, if up 2-0, I make him my penalty-taker, even if he's pretty bad at it, and sometimes even have him take free kicks as well. I might change my corner-kick, free-kick, or throw-in routines to get him more chances. I make sure to start him against relegation-fodder sides - or for a pacey striker, I might bring him in off the bench once the defense is starting to tire.

I normally have 4 or 5 strikers and perhps a promising youth striker to call upon all looking to cement a place in the first team. If a striker isnt performing he will often find himself out in my team, however if he is unlucky and playing well then he will keep his place
