I'm getting really sick of my DMC's inability to pass the ball. The majority of times any of my DMCs get the ball they will just stand spinning on the spot untill the opposition walks up and grabs the ball. It is not due to lack of passing opportunities as my wingers are great at finding open spots and so is my AMC. Pretty much anything would be better than my DMC giving away the ball in a good position for the opposition attack. This and the other complete shortage of defensive intelligence or any intelligence at all has lost me more games than I want to count.
I usually play direct passing, DMC sometimes mixed. I got the time waste slider as far left as I can and the mentality is different depending on what to expect from the other team.
I have the same problem with my one DMC.. Especially when my newly arrived Bocoundji Ca (or whatever his name is) has the ball. He stays put for several playing seconds just twirling the ball. For a defensive midfielder he really has more to do as an AMC because he scored in his very first match with Man Utd, from about 20 yards. Woo  I never have the same problem with Hargreaves or Carrick though...
My DMC is great in my Team which is Dumbarton from Scottish Third Division..
They can pass , score and tackle....
Good Players from part time contracts.........namely Paul Murphy which i bought FOC from Stirling....Fergus Tiernan brilliant DMC with eye for goal... Mark Canning also fabulous after being tutored......
