Paul Scholes' instructions in my Man Utd team to emulate real life
Hi everyone, i was wondering how to set up Paul Scholes instructions for my Manchester United team. I was wondering how to set them up so that he will be able to play like he does in real life. The trouble is, i'm not too sure about 4 or 5 different instructions to try to make him play like he does in real life.
I am using a standard 4-4-2 formation and employ the 'RoO' mentality system and so starting with the 'Attack' tactic i have my centre backs mentality on 14, and so Paul Scholes' mentality is 18. (As he plays in the MCa position).
Looking at some of his player preferred moves, how would i set up his creative freedom, passing style, closing down, forward runs, and should i be using him as a playmaker in my system, and if so, should this affect his mentality? Do Man Utd use Scholes as a playmaker in real life? His player preferred moves are:
Gets into opposition area
Arrives late in opposition area (which makes me think i should be using forward runs mixed with him but i'm unsure)
Dives into tackles
Tries long range passes (which makes me think i should increase his passing from his team passing (currently 6))
How would i set up creative freedom with Paul Scholes or is it not recommend with a central player?
Should i increase his passing because of his player preferred move "tries long range passes"
Should i decrease his forward runs to mixed because of his player preferred move "arrives late in opposition area"
Do i give him a free role?
Should i use him as a playmaker?
Paul Scholes is, at the moment, the most problematic player for me at the moment. As you can see, about 5 of his instructions i have absolutely no clue about, and his performances have been strings of 6's (with a few 7's), and I am in January of the first season.
Help is greatly appreciated, and i will answer any other questions about my team instructions and other player
instructions as well. Thanks alot.
