Thanks, Mark! I'll use that Create Custom Shapes action on occasion as I have a large collection of dingbats.
Here's an action which I use a great deal. Alistair figured out how to do it and it was a very clever use of PS commands. I was after an action which would 'flatten' a layer with styles applied so I could then apply another filter and have it affect the previously applied style effects.
You would get this result if you created a new layer above a styled layer, linked them and Merge Linked. (Alternatively you could create a new layer below the styled layer, highlight the styled layer and Merge Down.)
As I use the technique sometimes dozens of times on an image I sought a one click answer. Assign an F-key to the Rasterize Style action and there you have it. (There are no restrictions on this simple action and it works for sure with PS 7 & 8)
Oh Jeez, this is getting embarrassing. [saywhat] I've mentally transposed online persons twice recently, only this mistake is particularly egregious.
Rantin Al figured out this action. Rantin Al figured out this action. Rantin Al figured out this action. Rantin Al figured out this action. Rantin Al figured out this action. Rantin Al figured out this action. Rantin Al figured out this action. Rantin Al figured out this action. Rantin Al figured out this action.
(OK I wrote it on the blackboard 100 times)
