Thanks Martyrium, I have not got very far with a game yet as I have kept tweaking for different teams. I may try a game as Spurs and see what happens. If the opposition are playing defensively I think that one way of possibly getting around it was to deepen the defensive line to not get caught with a ball over the top and play down both flanks.

It's funny to hear people say that they had all kinds of problems with 07, and not with 08.

For me it's the exact opposite, I dominated 07 but 08 is giving me a hard time.
In 07 I played a direct/counter, quick/fast, attacking down both flanks. In 08 it does'nt at all...

Suggestions/Help?

I bought the game and when I came out of the shop a bright light shone on me and a voice said you will lead the people - then I woke up next to Chris Kamara!!! Think I need to see the doctor again.

Are you having problems with the opposition going 424 or 415 towards the end of a game?

Waht you need to do is take any forward runs / run with balls off of the fullbacks and set them to mark the opposing FL and FR. Both central defenders need to be on man marking.

After you have done that set the tempo as low as possible and set the time wasting to maximum. Also set for balls down both flanks and you should hold out and possibly even sneak another goal.

Man Utd v Cheklski Community Shield - Could you take a look at this match and let me know if these are some of the problems you are having. The problems I am on about are how Chelsea cannot score due to the setup of the tactic. I have reinvented the first tactic I downloaded and made two versions - one an attacking home version and the other a neutral / away version. The match was played using the neutral version until the last 15 minutes when I brought in some of the elements from two posts above.

I am not going to upload the tactic until I have played a full season and checked for mid season drop or second season reranking problems. Yes it is with Man Utd but the tweaks have been made on the players to suit their playing styles - thanks goes to all the forum posters for great advice and there is a little bit of everything in this - I am going to crack on now and make sure it works through a full season.

I am using the beta patch found at the top of the forum - download as it will make your game play far better with known bugs sorted out so far - one of which was not letting you close down players.

Downloaded this tactic and have played half the season with my Manchester United squad. Made som tweaks, and I also make changes in front of each match if necessary - and also using the opposition instructions quite a bit.

Premier division; 23pld, 19won, 3drn, 1lst. 60goals for, 13goals against. 60 points. Currently 6 points in front of Chelsea. Through to the round of 16 in ECL, and still competing in both the FA Cup and League Cup. Add to this - I won the Community Shield against Chelsea.

In the matches so far against the 'top four' in PL and cups my team has recorded the following results:
Chelsea (H, PL) 3-1 win
Liverpool (H, PL) 2-1 win
Chelsea (H, LC) 5-1 win
Arsenal (H, PL) 3-1 win.
Liverpool (A, PL) 4-0 win.

All these games have been won in the midfield - and all of them have been played with counter attack.

I am also wery happy about my own tweaked 'Turnaround' tactic, wich is quite a bit more offensive than the original one. This has helped me beating Newcastle (A) 3-2 after being 0-2 behind at half time and Ajax (H) 5-2 after being 1-2 behind at half time.

In addition I've got players sent of early in three games. A small tweak on the tactic - and I've won them all.
