Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default What attributes are needed to be good at one on ones?

This might belong in general discussion sorry if it does.

I have created a tactic that gives me quite a lot of one on ones with the keeper but what I cant work out is what makes one player better than the next.

So my question is what attributes are neded for a player to be good at one on ones?

obviously pace is needed to get through on a one on one,
but composure and finishing are the most important, maybe concentration and decisions may come into it but mostly composure and finishing

In my experience so far with this version a lot of emphasis is put on morale, so take this into account when thinking of your strikers too. I had a St with decent finishing and composure but his morale was very poor and was missing chances left right and centre. improved his morale a bit with some choice words to the press and he's banging them in now.

I thought that as well but my player thats is the best at converting one on one chances is lower than the rest of my strikers of finishing and lower than most on composure

composure have by far biggest effect.. and frankly that effect is way too big

used to have 19 or 20 finishing and 13 i think composure lone striker for my manchester city game.. well he like never scored in 1v1 not like he had many, he was too slow.. and crappy at dribbling

used him cuz of high finishing and high heading.. as most of goals game from crossing for me..

and i dont think morale have much to do with it. ofcs it do. but my striker always were superb

I would say...

Finishing
Decisions
First Touch
Composure
Dribbling
Acceleration

And to a lesser extent, perhaps pace and balance/agility
