I'm just watching the New Castle game - N'Zogbia's goal was outstanding!

Only so it's not Sparky (please stay at Rovers!) or Steve Coppell (who should be offered the England job after McClaren looses to Russia - Kershakov hatrick, sorry Reading).
And Utd won, who else but James Beattie Cleon? | I still think hes a waste of £4 million Stead is twice the player he is imo.
How did Newcastle do?
Spurs were robbed today, I thought they were really impressive and should have had all the 3 points today.

Newcastle drew 2-2. I felt sorry for them but again (funny pattern?) Owen blew an easy chance.
I am just relieved Man Utd beat Tottenham - It took an absolute wondergoal by Nani and a bit of fortune down the other end... but 3 points is 3 points!

| Aye you needed the points. It just shows though how 2 players can be missed so badly.
Gotta feel sorry for Jol though, he did everything right just the refereeing was terrible. Berbatov is one impressive player though.

Sure is. If I was Fergie I'd be going for him. I think his style of play is perfect for United... more so than Tevez to be honest.
He looked SO SO dangerous attacking us and it's not like Wes Brown inspires confidence!

Read a very good article in the sports section of the Observer today. Apparently Levy and his cronies in the boardroom intend to sell Spurs sometime in the near future for a massive profit. They want to up the value by £50mil by building a new stadium and getting a regular Champs League spot. They have almost complete control over Spurs transfers and think themselves to be excellent negotiators. Jol apparently had not say in the sale of Carrick to Man Utd and only found out when it was too late. Jol didn't want to bring in Rocha, Assou-Ekkoto and Zakora (who he knew quite rightly couldnt replace Carrick). This is part of the reason why Spurs don't have a left winger - Jol first wanted Stuart Downing but the diectors cancelled a deal and then wouldn't let him buy Martin Petrov because he is apparently too old (at 28). Interestingly Petrov is a great friend of Berbatov's. Hence this season they are getting increasingly impatient (for no reason) about the poor start as they are desperate for regular Champs League football so that by the time a new stadium is built they can sell for big bucks. They've seen what Ramos did at Sevilla (and yeh right he wasn't offered anything...) and want the same done at Spurs.
Hard without a left winger though...

Yes but the value of the club itself would sky rocket because in the long time profits would go up, particularly with a Champs League place.
If this is all true they can get away with it because a CL spot would probably come at the expense of Arsenal, but if they get rid of Jol there could be revolt by fans and players at Spurs.
