So I finished my second season (4th in total) with Bayern Munich and was very pleased with the results. 32 wins, 0 draws, 2 losses, 88 goals scored, 19 conceded.

Won all 6 ChampL. group mathces, destroyed AC Milan both home and away with 4-0, destroyed Ajax 5-0 away in the first round, and lost to Chelsea in the quarter final on away goals.

So why im I complaining? My midfielders sometimes shoot 7-14 times on goal even though long shots are set on rarely. True enough, they sometimes make 4 to 5 shots inside the box, but mostly waste the ball by taking long shots.

During the season I managed to reduce the number of long shots but only for one midfielder. What I mean is this: usualy, my two MCs would both take 5-10 shots on goal, and after I gave them free roles and told to hold up ball (the same result if only one has both ticked, or both have), one MC started to take about 0-3 shots on goal, but the other continued to take no less than 5 shots on goal.

Any ideas on how can I reduce the number of long shots and force the midfielders to pass the ball more oftenly to the strikers?

Both MC have the same instructions except for the free role and hold up ball. One has both ticked, one has neither.

I like your style! I have incredible problems with the strikers playing a similar formation, it may be because of the midfield long shots issue- i think you should just wait for the patch this week and hope it's dealt with there- if i can't get players like owen and drogba to score with the quality of totti/riquelme etc behind them then i don't think it's our fault...
