I'm going to have to give up on this one i'm afraid. only won 3 in the next 15 games and looks like i want last much longer. 11th in the league and can go 10th if i win my game in hand.
Lost 4-0 at home to man city and 4-1 away to Liverpool. I had more chances than both sides
G w d l GF GA
30 12 10 8 39 35
~This tactic did create a lot of chnaces. between 15-30 depending on who iwas playing. I played eduardo as the ST and without him i wouldn't score. The defenders hardly ever got a 7 and would only get a 8 if they scored.
I still think with a few tweaks this tactic could be really good.
When I get some time I will try this tactic again with a few tweaks

| Well, your results are absolutely rubbish, while your line-up was quite logical. Strange, even more so when compared to e.g. Beefheart's save game with Arsenal. Will it really be the gelling he mentioned?
About the average ratings, I think it has been mentioned before somewhere else on this forum: the ratings are way too low in this game, compared to FM2006. After about 20 matches with Chelsea, with only 6 goals conceded and 15 or 16 clean sheets, Cech had an average rating of 6,75, Terry and Carvalho about 6,85. If I'm right this will be adjusted in the first patch.

I won promotion to the Swedish premier divsion with your Tac QuintenQ with only one loss during the season. The thing is that I played way to many draws especially at home. This may have something to do with me being a promotion candidate and the opposit team plays very defensive against me. Do you think there will be success if I don't play counterattack?

Gonna try this tactic tonight with my Spurs team.
need an attacking midfielder, might try and get Van d Fart
only had a few hrs playing fm08 so far, havnt had a good look at it but the formation looks like one that i would have made up myself.
already setup my training for 1st/reserves and youth, gonna see how i get on with that after a few months.

I'm using this tactic with everton and just cant make it work. I won 2 lost 2 and drawn 2 so far using this tactic
My team is
GK:Howard
LB:Valente
RB:Hibbert
CB:Yobo
CB:Lescott
DM:Neville
DM:Jagielka
CM:Arteta
AM:Yakubu
AM:Cahill/Pienaar
St:Johnson
Is my lineup bad, do i need to swap people round a bit
Or am i just a terrible manager.

For those struggling offensively, I found that my team does much better if I have the target man box unchecked. I don't know if it's just me, but it may be worth a shot.

@ Mattyhefc: Looks like a logical lineup, do you play Yakubu at the right AM spot? The left one is especially designed for an attacking midfielder, you can put FC's of ST's on the right spot.
@ bandi15: I will try your suggestion as I'm scoring a little bit too little for my liking in some matches. Will post a follow up on this later.

Can I ask a quick Q -
Im Bayern, using this since day 1. Ive noticed your clip shows your first win against Dormund? But how did you start?
the reason is....
I beat W.Breman 3-0 H in cup
Stuttgart A lost 3-0
Breman in league h 2-2
Rostock A 1-1
Schalke h 3-0
Some other crap team A 1-1
now Im up to were your clip starts
did you have a slow start? are my team getting used to the tactic?
I couldnt afford V der Vart, so im usig Ribery in that right AMC

@ Triggerusa: No, I didn't enjoy a slow start, actually, my first 25 or 30 games was one of by best runs of games ever (including previous versions of FM), regerding points and goals conceded. After those matches I started to concede a little bit more goals, but still won most of my games.
I really think the two DM's and the MC are crucial, they have to have high work rates and good tackling etc...

I have finished my second season with Birmingham, in fourth place, so obviously I'm very happy with this tactic. I've beaten all the big teams now at least once, but can't seem to win consistently against relegation fodder even at home. So lately when I play against a weaker side I turn off counters and play a little more offensively. I haven't done this enough times to draw any conclusions, but so far it's done the job.
