It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

@ Sunny: No, I don't tweak at all before a match, it works well without tweaking

@ revobean: I don't know if there are any differences tactic/match enginewise between the demo and the full game, I only used this tactic in the full game and didn't experience a november dip...

@ glidarkatten: Do you mean Pirlo is really good at playmaking in this tactic, in the game (so other tactics) or in real life? I like the idea of a holding playmaker, a little bit like Pirlo in real life, but also think that it's important to have two DM's just dedicated to defending and ball conquering. (And perhaps than Pirlo is not an ideal player, Gattuso would be a better ball conqueror, but in my save game I'm pleased with Pirlo to.)

I used Tug's training 2007, just read about his new tactic for 2008, so might try that later. Is that what you mean? (Don't know what you meant by showing the training)

i do like this tactic although i'm having a few problems but its early days

Started a game with Arsenal and I have bought van der vaart, veloso, modric and akinfeev.

10 games played in the league and in 8th position, 10 points behind with 2 games in hand.
in total
p w d l gf ga
15 9 3 3 26 14

Finding it hard to score although i am creating a lot a chances so someone will soon get a hammering!!

Find it very difficult not to conceed. only had 3 clean sheets

will keep you updated as i go along

Hmm, your line-up shouldn't be the problem. Strange that you concede so many goals, that should be the strength of the tactic. Keep us updated, please!

I also gave it a try with Arsenal.

Have to say my results are a bit more positive.

I can only suggest that maybe so many new purchases are preventing your team gel'ing.

So far my results are as follows:

A 1:0 Dinamo Bucharest
A 1:0 Blackburn
H 1:0 Portsmouth
H 4:0 Derby
H 0:0 Dinamo Bucharest
A 3:2 Middlesbrough
H 2:0 Aston Villa

I have to say though, so many of my chances go wasted, for which I hold my players accountable. If I bought attacking midfielders with better long shooting and a better striker I could see these results double easily.

The team I primarily play, is:

GK Lehmann
DR Sagna
DL Clichy
DC Toure
DC Gallas
DM Denilson
DM Gilberto Silva
MC Fabregas
AM Eduardo / Rosicky
AM Van Persie / Hleb
FC Martins / Adebayor

I realise that I haven't exactly followed your player guideline (ie. playing a target man, which would imply that Adebayor should be my first choice) which would explain why i'm not getting the most out of the tactic. Also, my choice in attacking mid's isnt exactly "prime" but I don't like to change my team to much with new signings because of geling and morale instability.

All in all though, i'd say it was good. The football being played is pretty Arsenal'esque (from what I can gather from a 2D game engine lol). Lots of intricate passes, loadsa chances and loadsa misses, just how Arsenal like it!

Brilliant tactic though, congrats on making it. I'd highly reccommend it to anyone.
