second season with Villa, midway through preseason and in desparate need of a new GK (Carson gone bak to Pool, Taylor doesn't look good enough) and a new RB, I brough Guy Demel from HSV last year to play RB and he did pretty poor.
Problem is I only have about £6m left, after purchasing Kompany and Alou Diarri.
The only hope I have to raise more cash is to sell A.Young or Barry which i'm not keen on doing as they are my two best performers.
any ideas for a solid GK and RB for a minimal budget???
I had the same problem after I got my team promoted. I originally had Danny Simpson on loan, and wanted to loan him again for the second season, but he chose another team.
Im coming up to January now and im still tryin to find a decent DR. Try Kim Jaggy if he hasnt moved already. Should only be about £500k and covers both full backs. Also Marvin Angulo looks ok if you pray for a work permit! And Dor Malul is meant to have potential, and he's improved a lot in my game at his Israeli club, although im not sure about his mental stats.
As for keepers, take a look at Lehtovaara. Looks promising and for dead cheap. And Anton Shunin should be about £4m tops.
