In FM08 just got a bid from Inter worth 28 million quid (January 08) and he is valued at 7.5. It was quite the deal... but I rejected on the basis that he will only get better and more expensive AND I have no idea who is better then him that is not ridiculously expensive (Messi, Ronaldo etc.)

Was this a bad move, if so and I do get another chance then who should I sign to replace?

There are plenty of better players out there who wouldnt cost you a bundle imo. Gourcuff, Quaresma, Behram are 3 that come straight to mind. They'll all be available much under what you're getting for Lennon (or were getting). Gouffran is not better maybe, but just as good as Lennon and he costs like 5M. Sell him if you get a chance to again.
