Desperate Lower League Struggle - Tactics Required
Hi to all you tactical helpers! I'm in desperate need of a tactic, as you may well have guessed.
I'm Histon at the moment. Came first in the Conference National in my first season (by one point, which I only managed by winning the last game, and by Kidderminster losing theirs)
I started off well in League Two, sitting 5th after half the season. But for some reason now, my tactic isn't working at all! My defence has become leaky and my strikers wont score for love nor money. It's soul destroying. I was looking at back to back promotions, and now i'm slipping into mid table mediocrity.
Does anyone have any advise or any tactics that they've already conjured up that they could give me? It's got to the stage now where it's actually depressing to play this game!
I've tried alot of the tactics here, but the majority seem to cater for higher league teams. Furthermore, alot of the tactics I find when I search are for FM07.
Thanks in advance for any help with this conundrum.
Take care all!
Beefy

I've been playing the CM/FM series for donkeys years.
Same thing happened to me at Swindon on FM08. Went on a 15 game unbeaten run and then couldn't win for toffee!
I've always said it is down to one thing. Team morale and confidence. It's easy to keep winning when your players are on a high, but when you lose a few it can really plunge your squad into a downward spiral.
I always try benching those that are low on confidence and bringing in players with better morale. Failing that get some loans in.
Those that i bench, i always bring on when i'm winning a match to boost their confidence again.
