Will experiment with different versions of this as I am kind of desperate with my recreativo team..
I would also love to help with testing of new versions...
My plans so far is to use the normal version when I meet teams I should beat, 1 DM against evenly matched sides, and 2 DM against the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Valencia..
Will report back..

I was finding I was getting beat out wide and crosses were coming in to easily. Now the wingers are covered out wide as the FB's don,t get as forward as they used to. If a cross does come in, then the SC's are invariably doubled teamed by the DC and a DMC. It make it difficult for the opposition to get easy shots on goal.
With the Hoem and Away combination I have Spurs sitting atop the league and on a 14 game unbeaten streak. I have found that the 2 MC's/DMC's need to be tweaked as to their strengths with regards to FWR,TTB, RWB etc. During games I keep an eye on their stats and see if they are completing their passes, it usually is about 80 - 90% completiohn rate.
Attacking wise, all is good, the AMC (Van Der Vaart, in my case) is a beast, I love it. Have to go now have work to do, boss is looking at me knowingly, I will comment later.
| what excactely did you do to the tweaking of the CM/DM ?

Pretty good tactic...I'm using it in Serie A with AC Milan, on a 7 match unbeaten league run (woohoo!), but I just lost a CL match to Schalke 3-0 (d'oh!)...
At first, I had a LOT of goals being disallowed due to being offsides, so I looked over the tactic, and unticked the "play offsides" box, and I have yet to have one disallowed.
Tweaked it a little more, and now I've got it working good...will test more with other teams.

Edit on prev. post.
I've had a few goals disallowed, but none in the past few games...well, at least until last game, had one disallowed at Atalanta.

Torshov, as far as tweaking is concerned, all I did was look at the players stats and adjusted their player instructions accordingly. I tried not to get them doing things they were not good at. If they had poor dribbling and balance then I had RWB on rarely, just simple things like that.
I have also been experimenting with width and tempo, and have had some success.Games when I am the underdog i will play a narrow, quick tempo style, when I am favourite, I will play a wide, slow tempo style. This approach seems to be working. I tend to try and leave the player instruction alone and then tinker with the team instructions within the game, depending on how the game is panning out.
The overall set of the tactic is great and gives you plenty of options up front. The SC is still a bit of a lame duck, yes he helps with the structure but that is about it. All the goals come from the midfielders, mostly the AMC, but the AMR,AML, and 2 MC's do chip in every now and then.
I feel that the AMC and 2 MC's are the most important part of this tactic, spend money on these 3 positions and you will see the benefits. If you look at the team stats at the end of a game you will see that the 2 MC's will have close to 40/50 passes. A truck load more than anyone else, so put 2 and 2 together and you can see where the engine room is. Good passing, workrate, stamina, heading, tackling, I feel are a good start for the MC's
I hope this helps, I am by no means an expert, everrything I have learnt is from reading post on these boards, it amazes me the wealth of information supplied from a huge range of people. Thanks to all the those people that left comments and posts that nuffy's like me read and learnt from.

Oh I forgot, with the 2 MC's, I try to keep the one on the left more defensively minded, so he stays back to help out the defence. So he has a normal/defensive mentality, no FWR, no RWB, no long shots, mixed TTB, mixed crosses, close down often.
Whereas the right hand MC I try to make more attacking. Normal/attacking mentality, mixed FWR, often RWB (because he can), mixed long shots, TTB often ( because he can - good passing, anticipation, decision), mixed crosses, closing down in own half.
Again I hope this helps.
