I had the problem the other way around - OK away, pants at home. This latest iteration of FM seems to force you into thinking differently about home and away games. In previous FM (and CM) games I have pretty much played the same way at home and away. It seems now you need to think carefully about approach and attitude to home and away games. I still use the same tactic for both but the settings I deploy within the tactic are very different for home and away games. Try experimenting with player and team settings until you get successful home and away approaches.
