I'm prety sure that the method for 5 star coaches doesn't work for fm08. I've tried a few combinations and not hit 7 stars, I think they've altered some of the key attributes/thresholds.

7 star coaches work the same as in 07, but set pieces makes an exception. Can someone tell how to make 7 star coach at set pieces?

there are very few truly capable Set Pieces training staf actually in the database, three to be exact.

on teh three, only one is a true coach, the two other are physio and scout.

the most talented is Lieven Maesschalck ( there is a "c" missing in game), a belgian physio working for AC Milan, he do have 19 in Technique coaching, 20 in Mentality coaching and 20 in Attack coaching. Unfortunately, he's awfully laxist so even the most professional minded players will only a bit affectedf by his training.

the second most talented is Victor Hedman, a swedish scout working for Modo. He do have 20 in Technique coaching, 10 in Mentality coaching and 20 in Attack coaching. Unfortunately, he's a pure scout and isn't interested by any pther job.

the third most talented (enough) is also the only true coach of the few gifted. He's Paco Herrera, spanish coach working for the Espanyol. He do have 19 in Technique coaching, 16 in Mentality coaching and 17 in Attack coaching. Unfortunately, he's very loyal and will hardly accept to work for you..

(note that it seems that the stats are variable so they may not have the same value in your game)

The problem is not about getting those coaches IMHO.. its getting your board not angry when you wanted to sign 20 coaches to handle your training routine.. For example, Arsenal's board only allow 10 coaches max at one time.. I dont want to make them angry after they angry over my League cup 4rd round exit .. After drawing to both Liverpool in 3rd round and losing to Chelsea next , with my 2nd team >.>

Well, just get one 7 stars coach per training routine plus some cheap coach good only at motivating troops to decrease teh workload of your top notch coaches.

that way you don't need an army of coaches.

Not sure if this is the same that someone posted above but this is how to get 7 star coaching:

If you want a 7 star coaching your coach must have at least:

Strength: 18 Fitness

Aerobic: 18 Fitness

Goalkeeping: 18 Goalkeeping

Tactics: 18 Tactical

Defending: 18 Defending and 18 Tactical
19 Defending and 14 Tactical
20 Defending and 10 Tactical

Ball Control: 18 Technique and 18 Mental
19 Technique and 14 Mental
20 Technique and 10 Mental

Attacking: 18 Attacking and 18 Tactical
19 Attacking and 14 Tactical
20 Attacking and 10 Tactical

Shooting: 18 Technique and 18 Attacking
19 Technique and 14 Attacking
20 Technique and 10 Attacking

Set Pieces: 17 Technique and 39 (mental+attacking)
18 Technique and 36 (mental+attacking)
19 Technique and 33 (mental+attacking)
20 Technique and 30 (mental+attacking)

Also make sure you have a different coach for each aspect of coaching. I use 9 different coaches each one doing only 1 area as named above and its 7 star for all

Each coach for 1 area does that include the youth team coaching? let's say MR.X is getting seven star for senior shooting, does it decrease the star if i assign him to youth shooting at the same time?
