In my quest to build a half decent tactic I have stumbled upon on which is working quite well, you can download it at FMDownloads here its called The Barnzv1, ignore v2 as its just a tweaked version of v1 which isnt working yet.
Basically I wanted a back 4 with with a sitting defensive midfielder infront, I couldnt get it to work with a normal sitting midfielder as I was getting out numbered in midfield and my attack were seeing very little of the ball so I gave him an arror forward to join my other more creative midfielder. I also wanted wingers and 2 forwards so it was more of an traditional 4-4-2 formation with abit of protection from midfield for the defense.
My full backs join in the attacks ofton and see lots of the ball so they're fitness and passing must be good, same with the defensive midfielder as he is averaging 80 passes per game.
The formation is abit differant from most so have alook and try, any feedback/improvement will be taken onboard.
So far I am in october with liverpool having suffered just 1 defeat and 1 draw, defeat at Man utd and draw at home to arseanl, the rest wins in all competitions.
Has anyone had strange possession stats? I am play a slow tempo short passing game and ended the match with 40% Possession even though they had a player sent off.
Their midfeild just passed it between a midfielder (Boltons mikael alnso) and other players in their own half without being challanged at all he had 143 pass's which is stupid, is this a bug or something to do with my tactics as it seems to happen even when I increase the closing down
Can somone answer me this please? Is it a bug or is it a failure of my tactics? In my home leg against Zilina both CM got around 140 passes and the LB got 95. It seems that no matter what settings the oppossistion just plays the ball repeatdly around in their own half and keep getting 70% possession my play dont challenge no matter what settings they are on.
I have the same problem. I play Liverpool (have also played Real Madrid), always play short passing (or sometimes mixed/almost short) and i still get outplayed when it comes to possession. I can create 25 chances and still only get 50% ball possession at the most. Any other who have any thought on this?
Yeah I am still winning to just getting annoyed at the possession, seems this only effects clubs with big reputation would like to know how people with small clubs got on with the tactic and possession.
Sorry, I'm playing with Liverpool so can't help on the small club thing. Its great to finally find a tactic where Gerrard can be really effective and score lots.
I was having loads of problems with my strikers and seems to actually get them playing well, my CM'er seems to be down to about 60% condition by the end of the match which is worrying.
