Hey Brazil
I'm Notts forest in season 3 after two promotions on the bounce from league one (finished 1st), the championship (finshed 2nd) and now my record is P8 W4 D2 L2 in the premiership.
Anyway i've had all that success using wwfans/cloen advice with 14 different tactics from level 1 to 14 etc etc.
But I decided to downloaded your tactic (the first i've ever downloaded actually) and started using it with my reserve team, and after 3 straight 4-0 wins I'm now using it with my first XI with equal success .. (despite been told to fight bravely against relegation) I just beat chelsea 2-0, spurs 2-0 and everton 4-0.

Nice one, it's a very solid tactic, the chances you get are very good ones, the opp get many chances but most are long shots!
Keep me posted, any tweaks you think it may need let me know.

Tactic is producing some nice results. I'm using Atletico Madrid with Weegie's deadline update, and I'm finding a few things.
First, I've had some games where my players condition levels were dropping very hard at the end of the game. In one game I had to play some extra time, and my players ended in the 50-60% range. I couldn't find a reason for this, so it might also have been a freak result.
Against opposition who park the bus in front of goal, I'll need to try the "no counter attack" option, since the default settings are not punching through them.
And finally, I'm having a bit of trouble when using a TM without an exceptional heading rate. Setting the distribution to 'mixed' or 'run onto ball' when using Forlan or Luis Garcia up front just doesn't produce the same results as having Mista heading the ball there. Do you have any tips on how to involve these type of players more in the game? I do like how they move into channels and create all kinds of space for the other forwards and AMC though.

Well I created the tactic for the use of a targetman, you need a player ideally with 18+ for jumping.
If your main man gets injured, stick a DC up there, works a treat |

Hows Torres going for you?
I've had him in my Liverpool side from three seasons now, he going excellant for me... last season he was our top of the assists.

Not that well really in the 4-3-3 formation.
But he had lots of injuries for me.
In my third season when I switched to a 4-4-2 formation he really got going though but not as a targetman.
If you have a good targetman such as Iversen then this formation works really well but he's past it a bit now so that's why I switched to 4-4-2.
I might go back to this formation I think in my fourth season as I have just signed Bianche(spell?) who has 20heading and 20jumping.
Do you think targetman maked you a bit one dimensional at times? I get the odd game when I might draw at away to teams like Charlton or Sunderland, I think it's becuase they cut the supply to my targetman, maybe if I gave them something else to think about.

| I've got two quick/creative/excellant fininshers in Pazanni and Torres, but when he is one of them are injuried and I have to play with a target man, I'm finding that drawing/losing games happens often as well.
I think the focus more on the one players - target man, once they have shut him down (they cut the supply to my targetman)... I then notice that my players try to source out Torres directly?

This formation looks like an old friend! Used exactly this back in the day for CM 01/02 and won ever competition going for 5 seasons on the trot. Charity shield to CL final. Then it broke down completely unexpectedly after about 6 seasons and I finished mid-table.
This tactic's working quite well for me at the moment in FM 07, thanks mate!

| No probs, the targetman is key!
Which team are you playing with and who's your targetman out of interest?

I'm a Hammer so it's West Ham for me, with a little-known American called Eddie Johnson as target man
I play Tevez as a winger/striker though, with Ashton coming in from deep in midfield as I like to have control in the air and Tevez doesn't win headers. Ashton has a decent long shot too and is good at shoving defenders out of the way as he comes into the box
