Beleive it or not but Torres works wonders for me as a target man. I play him and Defoe up front and they score for fun togethter, Torres finished with an average rating of 8.27 in my last season.
Im currently playing as Liverpool.
Try him, you will be suprised.

Got Iversen back to full fitness, but he only lasted 12 minutes of the Chelsea game. E Johnson was no match for Terry and we ended up losing 1-0.
Home to Pompey next and we won 1-0 should have been more, but Johnson struggling and Ashton can't win headers.
Away to Watford and somehow managed to lose 1-0 thanks to a cracking o.g. from Arteta in the dying minutes. Watford had only managed 1 shot at goal all game.
Comfortable 3-0 home win against Blackburn as i finally got Iversen back to fitness, although he was tired at HT and had to replace him with an improving Johnson.
Lost
Neill
Reo Coker
Boa Morte to injury, as well as Curtis Davies for 2 months in his first start.
Same old, same old as far as injuries are concerned and losing games to o.g's, i think this is why i've struggled to have any fun with the game, as far as i'm aware the game is supposed to be different everytime, but i can call whats going to happen with almost 100% accuracy, as nothing ever seems to change!.
I like the tactic, you dont get much possesion in the midfield, but it looks great going forward when you have a decent TM in place!.

We are now 3 defeats out of 3 away from home after yet another foreseeable result!.
Reading scored with their 1st shot of the game in the 7th minute and despite having some greay chances, their keeper kept us out to go in 1 up at HT.
We came out flying 2nd half and deservedly equalised, just after i had to replace Iversen who again picked up a knock. Johnson then scored his 1st of the season to put us 2-1 up, but the excitement was short lived as Convey took on my back four and scored a pearler to equalise just 2 minutes later.
Then just as it looked like we might get a deserved point, Reading got a free kick on the edge of the box and Doyle beat my two big DC's to the ball to grab the winner with the very last touch of the game!.
Just played Boro as i was typing and dominated the first 30 mins, then Bowyer was sent off and somehow we walked away with a 0-0 draw?.
Oh and Iversen got another knock in this game and will miss the 2nd leg of the UEFA Cup qualifier.
I've had him checked out, but no obvious problems?.
