Great tactic mate. Played with Atl. Madrid and won the Copa del Rey, came second in La Liga og reached the UEFA cup final, and this without making major changes to the squad. Good work!

The midfielders get knakered because they are on 100% closing down. If you want to protect them you need to drop this down.
I have made some tweaks to the tactic by reducing this as well as creative freedom and some of the mentalities. I have also tweaked the target man as he wasn't attacking enough.
I am getting much better results now. I am playing with the latest beta patch.
It isn't worth me uploading the tweaked version until I am sure it is working.

Sorry for not updating guys, I'm waiting for the patch before I spend my time on my tactic. I have a version for FM08 which is working ok (especially away from home) If you have the right targetman.
When the patch comes I will test it for a few seasons then post it with clear descriptions.

I am playing with Sunderland and i was 17th with this tactic and i used it and lost like twice in 20 games or so. I even beat Liverpool 4-1 at Anfield, Chelsea 4-1 at my ground and beat Spurs 5-1 at my ground to. I tried a few tactics with Sunderland but none worked until this one i went for and AML and an AMR that can also play as Strikers and they are doing ace a the moment.
Cheers dude.

Hi bRAzIL,just wanted to drop you a quick message and say,i think you've hit the mark with this tactic sir.Im playing as club brugge in the belgian league and started off with a dissapointing couple results pre-season,but then the explosion took off,the last of my 5 pre-season games we played Aston Villa and stuffed them 4-0.With the season now well under way im top of the table and 7 points clear of anderlecht after 11 league games.
As you stated the tactic does not need too much or none at all tweaking, but should i recommend to other users of this tactic the importance of pushing defenders up slightly when already well in front,ie 3-0 up at home with 25 mins left to play,i find going for the kill of teams already condemmend to a defeat,it is suprising how many late goals ive scored replacing the targetman with a reasonably pacy yet strong striker, and a winger who has good passing and crossing delivery, combined with the back 4 pushed up,this adds to the oppositions woes and as i said going for the throat style get a goal or 2 in the remaining quater of the game.
Obviously the belgian league isnt the strongest of leagues but this at least proves your excellent tactic works on other leagues very well,as ive noticed some people use it for strong teams in the premiership and other top rated leagues.
Many congrats sir,and keep up the fine work.

Bit of a request from all trying this tactic if I could... I am trying it and it is doing ok but nothing outrageous. What tweaks do you all tend to do during the game if winning/losing/drawing etc? I admit that I am a totally lazy player and like to do as few tweaks as possible but if there are little things that work I will certainly try them. I have tried the suggestion of marking opposing FL/FR in 4-2-4 formations and that seems to do well... Anyone care to suggest any others?
