I used to bang my head about this too, but realized if he can pass it direct with no problem think about what he could do on short passing with time wasting on ?????

Update...still doing great and have not lost in 16 of my last league games. Just held west ham to 3 shots, only one on target at the 88th mark. Great Possesion, have 5 players over 90% passing for the year. Tinkering to try to get more goals, as I usually get 2-3, but with 65+ possesion most of the game, I feel I can ring a few more out of it. Rooney has been much better after I put him as targetman to feet, lowered his ment. to get him available for the pass, although I do not have it ticked in team settings as thats not the goal of this tactic. Most of my goals have actually came from the wings, CRon has 23 goals so far with Rooney trailing at 16. Havnt got much steady play from the MC-AMC position. Kinda searching for the right player. I bought van de Vaart, but he hasnt been lighting it up, and Anderson+Nani are too young, Teves has actually been the best. Is there any downside to changing the wings crossing to mixed? I did that since the ST is not too involved anyways, and I though I might keep a little better possesion as balls are not being wasted on airially challenged Rooney

Oh and on a side note, is there anyway to get rid of important players without hurting team moral? Giggs and Scholes are both not only a lot of players favs, they are also on the team information screen as team favs. Giggs is never going to get on with CRon, Nani, Quaresma, +strikers(who play great on the wing in this tactic), and Scholes has to get past van der Vaart, Carrick, Hardgreaves, Veloso, Anderson, and Nani.

Poppy,IMO you should have Gerrard in the middle of the midfielders because he's got the best finishing and longshots. My(short) experience with this tac is that you benefit alot from having good longshots on MC's and good finishing on the flanks! Try signing Matias Fernandes and Barzagli, and use this lineup:
Thanks www2. I was in a 5 game losing streak and needed to turn it round in my first season at stoke.
Tried this tactic (didn't download it - just tried to follow your instructions). I also did something i'd read somewhere else which involved setting the oppostion instructions to close down for all except the strikers, and show the full backs and wingers onto the weakest foot. I had the full backs arrows going in to cover the DC too.
It's working a treat at home (beat Leicester 4-0 and West Brom 2-0) but i'm still losing away. Any thoughts on getting more possesion away from home?

Just wanted to know how far did you lower the mentality of rooney ? Still attacking, or on normal ? Although you dont tick targetman, do you put rooney in the targetmen list ?
Thanx for your help, because i want to include the striker also a bit more.Just like you
