Great formation!!!! Started as Darlo in league 2!!! Pre season was a bit naff, i was getting beat quite a lot against reserve sides etc. I decided to carry on using it for my 1st league game and i'm glad i did. I've now played 9 games, 7 in the league, all of which i have won and 2 in the league cup. I beat Blackpool in the league cup 3-1 in the 1st round but then got beat by Middlesbrough 2-0 in the second round. All in all i would say that its a good formation.

I'll turn on tight marking and give that a go. Do you give any individual instructions for the opposite team? are you using this tactic with or without the beta patch?

I have been running this with the beta patch and always do opposition intructions. The results have been good with a 24 game unbeaten streak in the premier league as Liverpool. Eventually dropped a couple games in December and January as seems to be the norm for every tactic. Crashed out of the FA cup to west ham and to Chelsea won on away goals in the league cup semi final.
Against the other contenders I set my full backs to rarely run forward after getting a lead. It helps against counter-attacking sides and keeps my blood pressure in-check. Actually I have been pondering doing this and removing a DM for a 2nd forward. Probably would just muck everything up though as the FB's help the team move forward.
Overall I am very pleased. I suspect that a foward with better heading skills than Torres would really tear things up. What are your opinions on that?

| I have played 3 games with Liverpool and all of them I was lucky to come away with something. I might try closing down more and see what happens.

Thanks Uysaler Emircan  No matter who I've been or what I've played I haven't been able to buy a win in FM08 so far, but finally I am enjoying the game again. Stellar effort! I can finally produce some real football with my local amateur side in Norway |
