Seems to work VERY well against European teams.
| I noticed that as well, I'm still disapointed that my right back got himself sent off at the start of the semi final first leg against Chelsea. If it hadn't been for that I'm pretty sure I'd have won the Champions League as well.
Never mind, the tactics still working well this season and I'm still on for a trebel so fingers crossed.

Just wondering chopper, if the effectiveness of the tactic would be compromised should you change the defensive structure of the setup.
Since the back four are almost a flat four (ie, no real "wingback" play), if you switch it to a back three instead and play another central midfielder, do you think it would work?

| I'm not so sure it would work as at the moment it relies on it being tight at the back and building from there through the midfield.
It could be worth a try with 3 at the back and another defensive midfielder as this would hopefully still keep it tight at the back. Plus the DMC sees quite a lot of the ball and starts off much of the forward play so another player here may be benificial. However it could make this area of the pitch a little crowded and dampen the effectivness of the DMC.
Also, because the tactic's pretty narrow, takeing away the full backs may lead to the team being vulnerable to teams playing a wide tactic.
I might give this a try though if I get a chance and see if I can make it work.

Opposition Instructions, which I personally find very useful.

Chopper do you not have problems with you attacking mids taking far too many long shots and not linking up with the front man? If so how did you solve this as it is a major problem with my formation, which is also orientated on AMs.

I used a similar formation in my MAN U game for a while, but couldn't seem to get much out of Ronaldo. How is he faring in yours?

| I've not had a problem with them attempting too many long shots to be honest. They do shoot from outside the box now and again (due to the fact that they have free roles and high creative freedom) but enough of these shots hit the target or go in for me to be happy with it.
Because this tactic is quite nerrow and focused through the middle of the pitch I find that the midfielders are quite close together and pass the ball around a lot looking for an opening. The fact that I keep their individual mentalities quite close together also helps there to be no big gaps between my players meaning they usually have someone to pass to and aren't forced to make longer shots.
Playing a quick direct game can also lead to players rushing long shots. As it is I left my passing and tempo on mixed.

| I found that he didn't really play amazing when using him in one of the attacking midfield roles but when I played him on the left wing in this tactic he played very well, got a lot of assists and a few goals.
