It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Does Man marking/zonal marking and tight marking play a part too? Im having them with zonal marking, and without tight marking. Used the above mentioned CD and DL with my team, and have only kept 3 clean sheets in 10 =/

Hardly the sort of defensive display you would expect from bale, richards, zapata and alves.

Faeron, if you could, perhaps you can upload your tactics so we can understand how it works better? Cos im sure i got it wrong somewhere.

Thanks.

Here are the three tactics currently used.

The Adventurous version should give a balanced attack. This is no Gung-Ho tactic.

Link to the Adventurous version

The balanced tactic is about controlling the match. One of it`s main purposes is to keep possession, even when playing with fast tempo.

Link to the Balanced version

The cautious version is making the team sit a little deeper, taking less risks and trying to counter the opposition. To further expand this tactic consider switching to a more direct passing approach.

Link to the Cautious version

All versions are used with Liverpool, maybe the best team in the world . If you intend to use the tactics with a lesser team, you can not afford to try to maintain possession to such a rate as. Therefore risktaking and passing must be reconsidered.

I play with zonal and no tight marking as well. Who are you playing in midfield?

On average no more than 5 shots against per game thus far with most of those off target.

I'm playing with Norwich so hardly the best team around and yet it still seems to work.

Will play some more and post up results later but things are certainly pointing towards this theory being correct.
I am very interested in knowing how it works for you. Since I play with a top ranked team, it is good that you try it with a lesser/smaller club.

Luci as my DMF.

Matias Fernandez, vattaeli (SP), Michael Johnson, Diego.

Not too bad either. Thats why im thinking my mentality could be an issue, cos whenever i lose possession, the whole team seems to be torn apart, there is no shape at all.
