FM08 Tactic: 4213 McNugget Cruise Control *Warning: Ownage*
Hello wonderful Sigamers
Today I release to you my first official tactic for FM08 based on the theorems of wwfan.
This tactic was particulary made as an Arsenal away tactic but seen how the results turned out at home I believed it could be used for both home and away matches with just a few tweaks.
The standard formation is a 4-2-1-3. Yes this is a very attacking tactic but used well and even tweaked to fit your team glory is right down the road.
Teams tested: Arsenal, West Ham.
With Arsenal I experienced a great season with only 2 losses 3 draws and 33 successful wins. Most of which were over the 3-0 mark. I also won the Uefa cup (No knockout from CL, Arsene never qualified ) and the FA Cup.
When testing with West Ham I didnt know what to expect because this tactic was based on an Arsenal team developed by Arsene Wenger before I took over in 2010.
I made no changes whatsoever to my team and still the results were not surprising.
West Ham 4-1 Chelsea:
West Ham 2-0 Liverpool:
Premiership Nov 4th (West Ham):
Postions explained:
GK: You really just need the best you can get. With Arsenal I had Akinfeev which was tremendous and with West Ham I had Robert Green who did a good job nonetheless.
DR/DL: Since the tactic has no wingers the full backs step in to do the job. Whats needed here is the basics of defending (jumping, tacking, marking) and the pace, stamina and crossing.
DC/DC: These two will not get up as much except for corners. Same as GK you should try and get the best available to you.
MC/MC: For these you should have some creative and powerful personalities here. I used Fabregas who was brilliant yet Mark Noble didnt do bad either.
AMC: This player will try to get the strikers involved alot and back them up when attacking. Attacking player with long shots benefit here.
Left ST: Carlos Vela played here aswell as Zamora which were the top scorers of the team. I reccommend you do whatever it takes to get Vela for this tactic. He is god. This player will be the one most of the attacking play is run through. Balance and Finishing needed.
Center ST: This player is used to hold up the ball and lay on the two strikers beside him. When that is done he joins up with the attack for possible rebounds. Eduardo did well here scoring nearly as many as Vela did from rebounds.
Right ST: This is the player who will be trying to get on the crosses from the full backs as much as he can. Adebayor played here for me and Carlton Cole too. Both scoring well too. Althought he is mostly used for heading he does score a few with his feet also.
For the whole team Morale and Teamwork helps. The game is played at a quick tempo in which communication is essential in creating plays.
Please feel free the use this tactic which is available below and tweak to your needs as long as I get the base credit.
