I've been playing for while now and it's going good. I'm managing blyth spartans (last english division) and i'm 1st after 13 matches. I concede about 1 goal per game but i score ~3 so i'm satisfied.

Blyth were supposed to finish middle-table according to media prediction. This tactic must be the main reason for over achievement since i didn't buy any players.

I wonder if it will keep working after the first patch... O_o

Well I applied this tactic in the middle of the season, well...not so long into the season but anyway. Playing with Arsenal and with the beta patch. Results so far with this tactic:

3-0 AEK Athens
1-1 Man C
1-0 Doncaster
1-0 Middlesbrough
3-2 Sporting
2-2 Sunderland
2-0 Derby

Finding this a bit difficult. I create loads of chances, but my attack seem incapable of turning chances into goals very often. Against Sunderland (away) and Derby (home) I tried move two of the strikers into wide positions and that seems to have given the team more width. My LB and RB doesn't seem to give enough support in the original setup. Also had to tweak my CB's to only press in own area and more defensive. Sporting cut through way to easily and scored 2 simple goals. Though it helped in the 2nd half it was useless against Sunderland.

Another problem with my fullbacks are that they tend to give away balls very easily, when not under pressure. They simply give the ball to the nearest player in the other team. Though I have a few questionmarks over the defence, I feel it's a good tactic for goals. Tactics that I have tried before and done myself have been goal-shy, so I will keep trying this. Nice work!

Thanks, much appreicated.. But this gives me a bad feeling about the patch update. I havent tried it myself but the results seem worse than on without the patch. I will update later and try it out for myself

Hi nugget - interested in trying this - but got a few questions for you...

1) If your away to one of the big 4, or your losing - what steps do you take?

2) Ok, away at one of the big 4 half time and your winning - what steps do you take?

3) Are any of the strikers hold up players? If so, which one?

4) A few people have mentioned on here that the fullbacks are giving the ball away needlessley - what do you plan to do about this if anything? (I would perhaps suggest something but I haven't seen the player instructions yet till I get home and test this)

I'll be testing this with the Beta Patch later.

Fantastic tactic!!! I'm using the tactic with the Beta patch 8.01 and my Arsenal team is ABSOLUTELY FLYING!!!!



Does it make a difference if both MC's have the same instructions, as Rosicky's injured for me and Hleb has to play the AMC role (at least until Diaby can play there)??
