I always that a forward comes back deeper far more than a striker. Never used to know the difference between an ST and a FW, but change your front man to a forward instead of a striker, with a "normal mentality" and he'll drop off the centre backs.

It also has to do with the 'preferred moves' - players with 'cmes deep to get the ball' will be more likely to do so then those who don't have that.. bear these things in mind when training younsters too...
