Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default 4-5-1 tactic, lots of goals, tight at back & high poss

I've been working on this tactic for some time tweaking it to get the desired results and finally it seems to have come to fruition and so i feel confident enough to share it with all of you, i can't guarentee it'll work for everyone, no tactic does but hopefully it'll work for most of you, it's worked for me with King's Lynn in the conference against teams who quite frankly should be whooping my behind.

It's a 4-5-1 formation with a flat back 4, 3 in the middle, 2 attacking wingers and 1 striker, i'll pos screenies up rather than posting intstructions so it's easier for you to work out what's going on.

It can be downloaded from FM Downloads 4-5-1 Narrow (Kings Lynn)

Formation

Team Instructions

GK Instructions

FB Instructions

CB Instructions

Winger Instructions

CM Instructions (the middle one)

CM Instructions (ones either side of middle CM)

Striker Instructions

Notes

You should use the middle cm as a playmaker, seems to work well for me.

I have a deep defensive line thanks to my slow CB's but if you have fast players there you may want to adjust the DL up a little.

Can a mod please delete the above 2 posts or edit them for me, i can't get the direct link to the tactic working.

Go to FM Downloads and look for "4-5-1 Narrow Kings Lynn Sep 2010.tac"

Hey! I really like this tactic. I see you have a very similiar corner tactic to one I have been working on for a while

Questions to you: Do you think on wet surface one should change on team passing style to mixed instead of 1st notch of short passing?
