I picked up on one thing right away when I started reading. Having to do homework in order to turn a game from being a frustrating and annoying one into a fun game is in itself a major flaw with a computer game. Sim or no sim that is what it is.

Massive amounts of people just either a)won't be willing to put that time in or b)can't put that amount of time into researching for themselves.

It is clear to me now that this game is now a hardcore sim, maybe some find it easy from the go but that is rare.

Those are just unrelated points, the thread you made is a good one.

Also there is a thing which does annoy me. There is no logical reason why using a bloody slider should suddenly start making my strikers convert their chances.

When a striker is 1on1 with the keeper D-Line, closing down, tempo, tackling, forward runs, run with ball, CF all of this means nothing, it comes down to the player ability.

At the moment I have to agree with hyperion.

Having tried half a season with a 442 variation on Daemonseye with a home an away and anti 424 tactic with reasonable results but strikers that could not hit a barn door-Berbs 3 goals in 20apps I tried the following-

All 10 outfield players using CB setto result 2-0 win away against Liverpool with Berbs getting both.

Also tried reverse setto setup ie defence on Targetman and strikers on CB result 2-1 away win against Arsenal - bit lucky as Robbo scored.

Also tried Full slow tempo and and 1notch short passing, otherwise std setup - result 2-0 home win against Reading.

I have to question the logic of these sliders or whether they work.

No, the simple fact of the matter is that SI have got the match engine wrong. They can't deny anymore that the shooting is simply broken in this years game.

I have a tactic made that makes the game enjoyable to play, but only because I average around 25 shots per game, with only 9 of those shots being on target and an average 2.3 goals a game. This is plainly wrong.
