Ive decided to start a game with Derby.

Just a couple of questions: What players should I keep and who should I get rid of?

I would get rid of Macken, Malcom, Camara, Moore, Fagan, Holmes,Griffin,Edworthy, M Johnson, Leacock.

I would keep the rest and see how they are doing at the Jan Window. I let a few go in Jan who didnt cut it.

To improve the defence, sign Ignashevich on a Free, and get Onyewu from Standard, I payed 1 mill up front and then 700k after 40 leage apperences.

BlackofSic can you put up a link to your tactic please? I'm currently trying to get a 5 man defence tactic working to no avail! Cheers. And well done on guiding the Rams to 4th spot! Ole' Big Head would be proud!

Tomas Kuszczak (Man U) Loan
Omar Bravo (Chivas) $15.75M

Expectations:
League--> Mid-table Finish
League Cup--> 3rd Round
FA Cup--> 4th Round

I signed a new contract through 2010 as well. Pre-season odds of us staying up were once again 1000-1. I have 72.5K remaining of my wage budget and $36.33M of my transfer budget. I am using a 442 Diamond formation:
----------Kuszczak--------------
Potenza--Ignasevich--McEvley--Bouma--
----------Gooch-----------------
Ghaly---------------------Trecarichi
-----------Ireland-----------------
-----Miller--------Earnshaw--------

Bench:
Bywater
Magnin
Bravo
Pearson
Bicvali
Barnes
Oakley
Zeefuik
Davis

Right now I am standing 3rd in the Premership with 11 points, am in the 4th round of the League Cup after beaing Wrexham 2-0, will face West Ham in the next round. Looking forward to seeing how it goes through January. Had two targets turned down to the pesky WP and still have yet to get a WP feeder club.

How did some of you manage to sign Kewell? Could never get him in the demo at all.

I got him on loan my first season seeing I needed help down the left side, he was released at the start of my second season and signed with Wigan who was in the CCC.

Im in my second season - took a break from football manager to watch a crap load of x files and bones episodes. anyways, at the moment my 1st team line up is: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...nformation.jpg

and I use these team instrucs: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...structions.jpg

Also, when I first played the game without the patch, my chairmen sold jones for 12.5 mil, so first thing I did when I started my new patched game was sign jones onto a new contract with a minimum release fee of £50mil, put min fee clause in all my big players contracts now, no less than 30mil. buy em young too so in a few years i should have a squad to rival any teams.
