Advice needed on my team, finnished 2nd and cup winners after season 2. But was only given 9million to spend. I bought zaccardo for right back at 6.75mill. and after selling a couple of guys ive got 5.5m left to spend, any suggestions where to buy for and who i can get for that cheap? i think im really weak in the middle of midfield heres my team.

Gk. Buffon/enyeama
Rb. Zaccardo/birindelli
Lb. Bale/ekkoto
Cb. Yobo/ferrari
Cb. Kovac/Zebina
Rm. Camoranesi/Marchionni
Lm. Guardado/ Del pierro
Dm. flamini/ Paro
Am. Nedved/ Vianna
Cf. Trezeguet/ Miccoli
Cf. bianchi/ bojinov/crespo

Also, my assistant sayed that both delpierro and nedved are past there peak.both had really good seasons though, and should i stick by them for an extra year? and use them in squad rotation? thanks in advance for your suggestions.

I've got my Juve game up and running now, in the second season, so here's the story so far:

Season 1
Transfers in:
Faty (3mil)
Cassani (3.2mil)
Ben Arfa (loan)
Schwechlen, Benzarga, Wijnaldum, Trecharichi (sp?), Saivet - Compensation
Out:
Zebina (2.5mil)

Won the Serie B by a country mile, finished with 101 points in the bag. Got to the final of the Coppa, but was beaten by a very dubious Inzaghi goal (he was clearly off-side!!!), but Milan won the double, so I sneaked into the Uefa Cup. Not much of note here, except for the emerging brilliance of Palladino and Bojinov, as well as some trying times developing a solid tactical system.

Season 2:
Here it get's interesting
Transfers Out:
Sculli (1.7mil)
Boumsong (2.5mil)
Kapo (1.3mil)
Most of the crap players in the reserves released on Bosman's

About my transfers in: most of them were settled before I got a new contract, using the 1st season's transfer budget.

Transfers in:
Alex (4.7mil) - superb defender, and he's actually improving!
Amelia (free) - the best signing I've ever made. Buffon got injured for four months, so he's had a good run in the first team.
Aissati (8.5mil) - pretty good. I play him on the left as a replacement for Nedved, but he hasn't had much of an opportunity to shine yet
Jorgen Christiansen - Danish regen, bought for 250k and is touted as the new Laudrup. Excellent midfielder, lots of flair and creativity for such a young player, and his passing is improving rapidly. In a year, he'll be great.

And lastly:
Oleksander Yakovenko (3mil) - what a player! He was rated by my scout (Pastorello, great scout) as highly as Messi, Ben Arfa and Dos Santos, and better than Cassano, Kalou and Anderson (this was over six matches, so a pretty good judgement). He plays AMLC,FC, but I use him as a left winger. He's technically as good as C. Ronaldo (Ronaldo is a better dribbler by one, but Yakovenko has a better first touch, and is a better finisher, as well as being fairly nifty at set-pieces). He's played amazingly: he beats defenders with a ridiculous ease, and scored a great header against Milan in the Super Cup. He's 20 and awesome, so hopefully he'll continue to be.

Anyway, we've started well, 5th, but equal on points and GD with the three teams above us. We eased through the Uefa cup 1st round, and I'm in the international break now.

Salihamidzic is so rubbish. He's injured for 3 months, and I intend to sell him on asap.

soapysouter: i would say that you should get a young CB who can come in and replace Kovac/Zebina maybe someone like Djourou or Pique or if they are too much then someone cheaper like Digard.

victor6: nice going selling Boumsong for 2.5mill i was only able to sell after 3 seasons for 1.something mill. I see you have just bought Aissati im looking at buying him but it looks like he is going to cost me nearer 12mill since im in 2010. Think i might be checking Yakovenko though as well (got about 40mill to spend )
