I use the RoT tactic and that seems to work very well.

Falcao - super striker
Pasanen - strong def + captain
kallstrom - strong AM C - plenty of goals

3rd season - won serie B then won serie A but not too great in europe QF in euro cup and then dumped out of the CL groups the following year (injuries)

Ye he scores alot of goals.

The transfer budgets havent been that big so far only between 8m and 12m but already in my 3rd season the balance is finally in profit so hopefully next season the budget will be bigger, what seasons have you guys had a bigger transfer budget?

Also wondering what you have done with Nedved? He is now 35 years old in my game and this is his last year in contract and i have decided not to offer him a new one but would like to give him a coaching position but has anyone else done this? and if yes how?

Just back from a few days in Berlin.

Am now in November 06 and have just moved to top of Serie B. Played 11; won 10, drawn 1 (v Spezia of all people, and they are the only side to have scored against me).

I've sold Balzaretti to Chelsea for £4.6m + 20% to raise some funds. Also accepted offers for Gianichedda of around £800k. Bank balance isn't great, so I thought I had better.

Here is Diego Marangon for you (at least, here he is if I can remember how to do a screenshot - it's ages since I've had broadband at gome and I have forgotten).

Diego Marangon

He's mainly played in lesser games behind Nedved. Guzman has been injured. Doing ok though, especially considering he's free, and an EU citizen.

Now in the mid-season break. Sold Balzaretti to Chelsea so have around £4m to spend if needs be. Chelski strangely have come back and bid for Chiellini, to give them 4 DLs. Eh? I've quoted £12m + 20% + Wayne Bridge. Hopefully that'll put them off without upsetting Chiellini.

Are there any players with expiring contracts at the end of the first season who are worth perusing? I'll trawl through the list and have a look, but I wondered if anyone had picked up any bargains.

Strangely, Tudor is my best player on ratings, though he's out for a month with a broken arm. He has been keeping Kovac out, so my lead DCs are Pasanen (very sound) and Tudor. ADP and Trez just behind. Each scoring nearly a goal a game.

A bit disappointed with Bojinov (8 goals in 17 and a 7.1. rating) and Zanetti.

Am bidding £2m for Corluka but don't know if I'll be able to buy him even if I succeed. Does he count as non-EU or is there any special rule for Balkan players in Italy?

It's more about preparing for next season, as I'm strolling the league. Though I did have a run of 4 draws with the team strangely lacklustre. Then bounced back thrashing Verona 5-1 away, even with Nedved sent off for 2 yellows and Tudor breaking his arm after I'd used all my subs.

And of the players out on loan in the first season, are any of them worth keeping for Serie A in season 2? Or should I simply try to flog them for as much as possible?

Cheers for the help.

I don't think anyone worthwile is signing with expiring contracts but next season look for Klose!

Flog the players and get the money.

Olivera and Kapo are both very good players as well as tacchinardi but the rest i would say to sell.

I was low on strikers through injury and decided to give Chiumiento a go and he scored a hat trick in a league game. He also may be worth keeping. Anyone else tried him in their game?

Have now sold Zebina as I had a £3.5m offer (plus add ons). Have replaced him with Cristian Alvarez for £2.2m.

Had my ass man poached by Manova. So I've promoted a coach and recruited a cheap classy Brazilian coach to repalce him. And I've £800k compensation to boot. Can't complain.

In the two game gap, having sold Zebina before Alvarez arrived, I used a youngster Andrea Pinari as DR. He seems really promising. Does he come good?

Trashed Palermo 6-2 on aggregate in the QFs of the Cup. Inter awaiting me in the semis.

Now mainly playing with a midfield diamond. No arrows on the wingers, but with the strikers moving out wide and the AMC bombing forward. Works well with ADP and Bojinov.
