bought him at start of 3rd season for 4.5 million i think. iv only used him sparingly so far but he will be the rock of my defence in next 2-3 seasons. also had a 4.5m offer for gonzalo rodriguez accepted but he chose arsenal for some reason. finding it hard to compete in transfer market with inter, milan and roma

I started a new Juve game, post patch. Now starting 09/10,which is set to be my toughest season yet...

Season 1: Purgatory
I got through the first season without loosing any players, and I got japanese and american feeder clubs. The board did not interfere at all, mainly because I spent next to nothing in my first season, trusting in my team to deliver. I brought in some youth prospects, but most of them turned out rubbish. I ended the season with promotion, and, as a bonus, I played Milan in the Cup final (losing), but got the Uefa spot as Milan had qualified for the Champions league.
1st season signings:
The only notable players I signed in the first season were
Robert Pires (free)
Patrik Berger (Free)
Teddy Sheringham (Free)
All the other players were youngsters, and weren't very good.
I also picked up these Bosmans:
Marco Amelia
Shunsuke Nakamura
Stefano Fiore

Saeson 2: Back in the Saddle
I had no money to spend for season two, but that was fine. I decided to mount a title challenge, and to go for the uefa cup. I also had a stroke of luck in getting Curtis Davies for 1m, to re-juvenate the defence. Also, the return of Gasbarroni was helpful. Bojinov and Trezeguet made an excellent partnership, bagging 25 each in all comps, I also signed back up like Vieri, Crespo and Rivaldo. The experiment worked, and I won the league on goal difference, and beat Atletico Madrid in the Uefa cup final (Vieri justified his £30,000 price tag by scoring a hat-trick). The board did raise my budget in January, but I kept it, waited till near the end of the season, then bought Barzagli and Guardado to come in for the next season. I also signed Miroslav Klose on a free.

Transfers In:
Curtis Davies 1m
Crespo free
Vieri 30,000
Rivaldo Free
Giorgino Wijnaldum 875,000
Vecchio (Bosman)
Barzagli 8.75m (end of season)
Guardado 4.3m (end of season)
Miroslav Klose: Bosman
Eugen Polanski (bosman)

Season 3: The European Campaign
27.75 mil for the third season, expectations of mounting a title challenge. I brought in Giovani Dos Santos for 6.5m, then waited to see what I'd need. Turned out, quite a lot. Things were great till November, when Klose and Trez got injuerd. 4 months each. I was relying on Bojinov, but he lost his form completely, as had all my other strikers. I had a slump till the end of the year, which saw me throw away a ten point lead to drop into 4th place, 7 points behind the leaders. Then, a miracle. I beat Udinese at the end of the year, with Bojinov bagging a brace, and that turned everything around. In January, I bought Toni for 2.3 mil (he'd moved to chelsea and was rotting there), signed Ronaldo on a free, and bought Zaccardo for 18mil, as I realised I had no good rightbacks. I also signed Cannavaro on a free, to stiffen up the back a little. Juventus then went unbeaten in all competitions until March, by which time the race was on between us and Milan. Got to the final of the Italian cup, beat Fiorentina. Won the league by beating milan on match day 34, which put me in front again, then was able to sustain the distance all the way. Then, the CL final vs Barcelona. I was missing Buffon, Klose, Guardado and Dos Santos, plus all the players I'd signed in January. With a depleted squad, we beat Barcelona 5-3, thanks to a last minute penalty from Del Piero (1st goal of the season), and a great strike from Nedved, giving us a Treble.

Transfers In:
G Dos Santos - 6.5mil
Zaccardo - 18mil
Luca Toni - 2.3mil
Cannavaro, Ronaldo - Free.

Aissati, Niguez - Bosman

I didn't sell any players, as I prefered to just let their contracts run and release them to avoid negative feelings.

Current 1st Team:

Gk: Buffon, (Amelia, Carvalho)
DR: Zaccardo, (Balzaretti)
DC: Barzagli, Cannavaro, (Davies, Masiello, Montiel)
DL: Chiellini, (Bettini)
MR: Lubrani, (Camoranesi, Marchioni)
ML: Guardado, (Dupupet, Gasbaroni)
MC: Marchisio, (Paro, Polanski)
AMC: Dos Santos, (Aissati, Vecchio)
FC: Trezeguet, Bojinov, (Klose, Niguez, Paolucci)

I also have the veterans like Ronaldo, Del Piero, Zanetti etc as back up in the reserves.

I'm not sure what to strengthen here, so any tips would be appreciated.

Decent signing there charlie177, He plays for Inter on my game and is doing very well for them

If you have any funds left over then try and get Gonzalo Higuain from River, he is touted as the next Trezeguet and if you get Trezeguet to mentor him turns out excellent.
