Improvements
The squad is capable of winning the league, but there's definitely some room for improvement in areas, particularly central defence. Addo and Alcides are poor and Da Costa is nothing special yet. Salcido is probably a better full back and Simons can't jump or head the ball. Have a look at Gustavo Cabral, Patricio Araujo, Kiril Pavlyuchek, Alex Silva, Patrick Kisnorbo, Federico Lussenhoff or Duilio Davino to play here.
PSV could also do with a new right winger and forward. I would take a look at Birkir Bjarnason, Augusto Fernandez, Gabriel Torje or if you want to spend some money: Serge Gakpe or Renato Augusto to play on the right wing. As for a new striker, I'd go for the very popular Aaritalo, Kerlon, Bogdan Stancu, Falcao, Ever Guzman, Mauro Zarate or Blas Perez to play here. Maybe a new DM wouldn't go amiss as Tommie van de Leegte is rubbish in all honesty.
Other possible targets:
Daniel Carvalho - AMLC, FC - CSKA Moscow
Harry Kewell (transfer listed) - AMLC - Liverpool
Manuel Iturra - Universida de Chile - Utility man
Eduardo - Bahia - Another good utility man
Steven Defour - AMC - Standard - Quality young AMC
Phillip Cocu - DM - Al-Jazira - Legend.
Ever Banega - DM - Boca - Quality young DM in the Pirlo mould.
Cesar Villaluz - AMR - Cruz Azul - Good prospect
Cristian Nazarith - FC - America - Good prospect
Georginio Wijnaldum - AMRLC - Feyenoord - Good prospect
Nacer Barazite - AMRC - Arsenal - Good prospect
Patrik Lomski - AMRL, ST - Turun
Look to offload:
Tommie van der Leegte: Old, poor stats for a DM, waste of wages that could be used on someone younger and better. Eric Addo: Contract has expired and offers nothing to the team. John de Jong I liked him on 07, but his stats have been toned down and he's getting on a bit. Sell and replace with someone like Daniel Carvalho who can come quite cheap. Jason Culina Another waste of wages that could be used on someone better.

Huzzah! I've been waiting for this thread, GJ Betis, nicely done! I'll be starting my annual dutch game tomorrow with my friend and hoping to repeat last years triple treble of 2012-1015!
I'm thinking either a diamond with or maybe the wing back system i'm playing with Fiorentina at the moment, can't decide at the mo, will keep y'all posted! Keep the thread alive, i'd love to hear how others are doing with De Boeren (and what that translates as, any dutchies wanna fill me in? )

Aah, it would seem the logo at the top of the thread has disappeared!
Anyway, big dilemma, I've signed Defour and Carvalho, but I've just had an offer of £7m + Edison Mendez accepted for Van De Vaart! Now I'm stuck! Any advice, anyone?

Well i've only had a brief go as PSV as a warm up for when my mate comes over tomorrow but i bought VDV for 11m and he banged in a load of goals. I was playing a formation that relied heavily on a good AMC but that said he did look class, i say go with him mate!

I sold Jan Kromkamp thinking I would get Danny Buijs, but he wanted a bigger appearance fee and then deadline passed Still, I've got Zuiverloon who looks great, might I add. I also tried to get Aaritalo as a back-up target man to Koevermans, but the bast rejected and went to Feyenoord. I got Hobbs and Saivet by offering them key player contracts and then just changing them to hot prospects. Hobbs was signed to try and help Josh Wright settle in.
I also signed this regen Rutgers , who my scouts are having wet dreams about. They reckon he'll be twice the player than Zonneveld is.
Didn't have a choice in whether or not I wanted to keep Vayrynen, as my chairman accepted their offer. He also accepted a £6.5m offer for Afellay but I offered a new contract and he stayed. Super Cup
Koeverman is fb  An enjoyable win and one that delighted the fans.

I delayed too long to wait for advice, then they cancelled the deal and lost interest in Mendez. I bid again and they wanted £11m, like you said, I had the funds but I'll wait till next summer and offload one of my AMCs and buy him. Cheers for the advice, anyway.

i'll post a propper update of how things are going over the weekend after our 1st session is complete, i expect i'll try to pick up VDV and play a 3-4-1-2 type thing, any advice as to any other areas that may need strengthening?
