De silvestri from Lazio is fantastic, if you can possibly get him (in my game Lazio never accepted anything and he kept signing new contracts for them).

Oh, and btw, I wouldn't recommend Quaresma - he's a great player but he didn't settle in well and became unhappy :thdn:

Well, I'm not sure how many Inter people are still up to date on this thread, but I must say, its been fun for the first half of the season. Since I restarted I haven't gotten around to playing much, but I did a chunk of the season yesterday.
After about 13 games we are top of the league, followed very closely by lazio, Fiorentina and Roma. After a very poor start to the champions league (2-0 to Valencia, 4-4 to Werder Bremen, 0-0 with Besiktas) we suddenly picked up two important wins, 4-0 over Besiktas and 2-1 over Valencia. Hopefully the next game will see us through to the top 16.
It has also become apparent to me that Marcelo is indeed going to be a quality player. Retraining him in the AML position (because of his poor tackling and marking stats) and he's coming along very nicely, improved a lot.
I've still got 8m to spend after the purchase of VDV, Marcelo, Clichy and Barragan. I'll probably be looking to sign a DM or AM to replace Vieira, or to give me ann extra option up front.
Ibrahimovic and Adriano are not doing too badly up front, each have around 15 goals for the season, after about 20 games each, so looking bright. Maxwell has stood up as a great performer, probably one of (if not the) best players so far this season. Maicon went off to Chelsea for 25m, too good to turn down, and I keep checking the little "wnt" symbols on my players, and it seems Sevilla are interested in 5 of them! In addition they are also interested in about another 20 players from top clubs, including Ronaldo (both), David Villa and Steven Gerrard. I'm not really sure what happened to them lately, but they've got one hell of a shortlist!
Well, my little story is over for now...I might put some screenshots up later, we'll see.

Hey guys, I was just wondering something. I usually spend a big chunk of my initial funds for transfer on Diego from Werder Bremen. Now, I used to use the 4-2-3-1 formation with Ibra and Adriano rotating but I felt like I wasted some of the offensive qualities my team had.
I've also tried to use 4-3-1-2 and I've gotten successful results, not as good as the former because then we dominated the wings too which we seem to come short on with this tactic. Any recommended tactics or signings? I was thinking of getting rid of Stankovic but I'm afraid he will shine on in another club, I was thinking of Nasri to replace him. My eyes are personally set on Wesley Sneijder but that will have to wait a few seasons..

I probably wouldn't get rid of Stankovic first season, maybe 2nd. Also I tried out Diego but I find that VDV worked much better for me. I usually play a 4-1-2-1-2 or something, with a DMC, an AMC and 2 wingers. So usually Cambiasso fills in the DMC while VDV plays AMC and I have Maxwell, Marcelo, Stankovic and Figo for the 2 wings. Vieira hasn't played well for me so he's the backup for Cambiasso.
This can also be good because you can switch to an attacking 4-4-2 if you replace your AMC with a DM or MC.
Just some ideas though, try out some different things, see how you go.
