Keeper: Surely Kiely is good enough for the season? Looks like a very good Championship keeper to me. Try Stefan Klos or the Bulgarian bloke Jack Edwards has bought for his Wolves team before he restarted his game. If neither of those are interested, try going for Chris Smith at St Mirren; he turns into a decent goalkeeper in a few years but with West Brom's excellent defence you can afford to throw him into the deep end a bit.

Right Back: Manchester Utd have two excellent right backs up for loan in Bardsley and Danny Simpson. I've brought Simpson into my Norwich team and he's done very well for me. </BLOCKQUOTE>
Cheers mate, put offers in for alot of them. Kiely is my only decent keeper, my back up is a youth team keeper so have to get one. What do you think of my team so far? ..

Kiely
Hoefkens Barnett Cesar Tininho
Morrison Pele Teixeira Brunt
Slusarski Miller

Subs:
Carlin
Piatti
Robinson
Beattie
Clement
Barazite
Gera

Injured:
Koren
Bednar

Any tips on what I should do?

Thankyou.

Now got my copy of FM08 and just starting up as Wolves, as always. they seem a better side this time around. They were rubbish last year.

Great idea for the thread.

I'll post more when I've got a couple of weeks in and my team is taking shape, though my starting points are to bring in a pacey DC (are you listening Mick?) and cover for the wings. Plus a keeper: I've made an offer for that Bulgarian bloke.

So far I've sold Lewis Gobern to Sheff Weds for £80k, revamped the coaching side (both Youth team coaches will accept full coaching contracts for £800/wk,which helps) and told them I expect promotion, which gives you and an £800k kitty and an extra £35k in wages.

Desperately trying to get rid of Gilks from norwich, don't need the cash, need the wages he takes! Got a reasonably nice squad settled now, lots of young talent brought in on the cheap. Will post it up in a little while.

I'm with the Hornets as well with them being my side, so we have a rather handsome transfer kitty (which is strange considering past years!)

I seem to have taken up the options of a lot of the players suggested on here too, but here's some other ones that haven't been put down so far:

Seyfo Soley - Got him on a free at start of game, good solid defender, should be a great Champ buy

Liv Ganea - Got him on a free from Stea Beaucharest. Young striker, shall probably put him out on loan all season though

Anthony Scribe - 4k from Montpellier, been a decent young keeper on FM for a while now, cheapest option though

Rene Mihelic - 250k from Maribo. Great player for this money can play cm, am, lm. Would recommend highly

Leandro Depetris - 150k from Brescia, young am for the future...reserves for him

Sibusiso Dlamini - 90k from Swallows, shall be a right midfielder for me. Good cheap player

Von Bergen - 60k from Zurich. Another from 07, was a good Champ defender there. Seems as good as Peter Clarke whose going for nearer 400k

Rolan Gusev - Delighted to have got the Russian right midfielder on a free. Left his club on a free and then he wanted to come.

I have too taken up the options of signing other names mentioned on the thread (Aaritalo, Doudin, Nazarith, Trabelsi etc...so I won't list all of them!)

Hope some of these players are of any help! I shall provide screenshots if wanted and report on how well they do (First games coming up)

Ipswich Town

Board expectations
Respectable League position

Finances
Not great 65% of transfers to the board, large bank loan and quite high wages at the start that need trimming

Transfer budget
£700,000
Players in the first team Squad
Owen Garvan
Danny Haynes
Billy Clark
Jason De Vos
David Wright
Alex Bruce
Neil Alexander
Alan Lee (towering striker)
Pablo Counago
Jamie Peters
Gary Roberts
Sylvain Legwinski
Tommy Miller
Matt Richards
Jonathan Walters
Shane Supple
Dan Harding
Dean Bowditch
Sito
Chris Casement

Players sold
Jonathan Walters 100k
Dean Bowditch 50k
Shane Supple 500k
Sito free
De Vos 100k
Most of the youth team & reserves given frees to reduce the wage bill

Players in
Aaritalo 250K
David Thompson free
Chris James free
Chris Taylor 400k
Kalla free

Tactics
Erasmus target tweaked using Alan Lee / Aaritalo as a target man to head or Counago to feet with Hanynes/Clark

Story so far
Pretty good, played 8 won 8 in league and cup, scoring goals and defending well
[IMG] [/IMG]

Key players
Legwinski, Garvan and Chris James are superb in the middle of the park. Sold De Vos as he was too slow for my style of play - Bruce and Kalla with Casement as back up have been very solid. Out wide Roberts and Thompson with Taylor have provided loads of assists and up front Alan Lee, Aaritalo, Haynes & Counago have got 13 goals between them
