Ok I'm about to spalsh my entire season 5 transfer budget on him, in FM07 he was worth every penny, 30 goals a season and simply amazing. Is he as good in Fm08? He is my best option as I'm Ipswich and nobody else will sign as they are at big clubs already. I also like the fact he is still relatively young so I'll get many good seasons from him.
I have Saivet at present and it took him until last season to finally come good with the goals.
Won the Prem in my 4th season, not bad going I think! I do like a bargain but I'm at the point now where my team needs only true worldclass plaers to advance.
Bit steep for my liking tbh but he's definitely a great player. Absolutely phenomenol. On the other hand, there are others just as good. See if you can get Bojan or Vela for less. Bojan generally has a release clause in his contract so you might just be successful with him if he's still not cracked the first team at Barca.
If you cant find anyone else, I'd still be a little hesistant. Are all your other positions fine? No need for strengthening anywhere else? If you do need shoring up in other places, I'd rather I get 3-4 players in other positions I need to fill rather than one guy.
i'm on 8th march on my first season with him, played 39 games with him: 43 goals,13 ass. from those 43 goals , 13 were in champs. i think that says it all. oh and he never gets tired.
