Started playing Fm 08 again this morning. In my 2nd season as the glorious Milan. Won the league first season and am slowly building a top top side. Just beat Inter away 2-0 with goals from Gattuso and Gourcuff, to take my lead at the top of Serie A to 8 points. My record in the league so far, is played 16, won 14, drawn 2, lost 0. The only worrying point is the amount of goals conceded, i've conceded 11 goals, compared with the likes of Palermo and Inter who have only conceded 7. It's not a major problem, 11 conceded in 16 isnt bad, but we give away too many chances. I have acted on this, but securing the signing of Dani Alves for £16million. He will sign in January, along with Elano and Hatem Ben Arfa. This will leave me with £5million left to spend, but i plan on getting more funds. I am hoping to sell, Gilardino, Inzaghi, Emerson, Abbiati and Ambrosini which should free up some funds. I will then go in search of a goalkeeper, with Igor Akinfeev my top target. If i get him, my best First XI will be as follows:

woohoo! july 08 and i've managed to sign ronaldinho!

for some reason he was dropped from the brazil squad and was majorly unhappy, a bit of unsettling later and he wants to move from barca!

amazingly, i got him on a £70k first teamer contract!

i know i could've gotten a younger player in, but i've already got aguero, dessena, pato, bendtner who are all wonderkids, wanted a more "established" signing for my team.

Im quite a fan of Amauri now tbh.
I recon i can get a good 3-4 seasons of top level footy out of him.

Striker wise, i have Gila, Amauri, Pato, Ronaldo & Inzaghi.

Ronaldo i'll see if i can sell if he doesnt do what he did in the 08 demo. (sulk).
Inzaghi i'll probably loan out, and see if i can get a good youngster in.

Im still hoping to get Zaccardo on a free, which should sort me out for DR for a season or so. And hopeefully i can prise Kompany from Arsenal.

hi guys, playing the demo and buying the original game on monday.
was wondering if you could tell me what ronaldos morale is at the start of the season?
In the demo hes upset and cant settle at the club!?
I find this hard to believe as irl hes jumping at the chance to start for milan in the next week or so. So have SI sorted this out or is he still Mr sulks?

is that not contradictory from SI though?!

I mean the only problem hes had at milan is his injury and fitness, ive never ever heard him say he wants to leave!
IRL hes just been included in the squad to face shaktar on wednesday...i think its a serious error on SI`s part.

skanky, www2 :- i offloaded ronaldo in March 2008 in the game i was playing. The AssMan kept warning me about him being unhappy and i had already given him leave of absence twice. He agreed to mutual consent with no payment since he was confident of finding another club. He went to R. Zaragoza.

Positives from him is he won me a game against Inter 2-1, scoring both goal after I started him ahead of Gila and Pipo. I thought before the game that he will want to prove a point to them and he did. He scored a hatrick against Genoa.

Since then, I went on to win Serie A, Italian Cup (beat inter 2-3 then 3-0 in semis and Lazio 3-1 in finals). Eliminated by Inter in UCL in semis.

Kaka is a killer in this game (22 goals, 15 assists in 50 apps). I had retrained Pato as AMC and he was doing good. Akinfeev started to put in 8's in the last weeks of the season. Gila got 29 goals in 47 apps (17 goals in 28 league games, 8 goals in 15 in europe).

I signed Fabregas €93M (62 up front and 30.5 ovr 24 months). Jonathan Evans frm Man Utd,, Taarabt from Spurs, Banega from Boca. Anderson and Marchisio were coming in on July 2009 for €29M and €23M respectively - all structured deals. Emerson went on loan to Reading.

I started the 2nd season by beating lazio 1-0 in supercup.

I deleted the save game and now I am restarting it with more leagues added - (germany, france and brazil and also serie B, championship and segunda).

I have also noted that if you start the game in Germany (June) it starts on 24th June 2007 and Ronaldo is injured for 2 weeks instead of 2 months.

I will give you updates of the new Milan game.
