From what people are posting it seems a lot easier to sell players

I had a lot of difficulty in FM07 to get rid of people (had to let Crouch and Kuyt go on Bosmans once!)

so that looks good.

I always found that really unrealistic. Good players are normally in demand. I've not tried to sell anyone on the demo so far but it does seem easier from what people are posting.

getting game tomorrow morning from reading the posts and my views my plan of action may well be
- sell Yossi and Harry K
- bring in CB and AMRLC
- possibly sell Crouchy Van Basten
- Pako back as AssMan

any thoughts?

Bought morten gamst pedersen for 13 mill for the left wing, for some reason Babel's best positon is right wing? Leto isnt good enough yet, but looks promising and i dont know how you guys got rid of kewell i even tried offering to clubs at 1 million

Well here we are again. The next 12 months will be the whiskey & cigarette fuelled emotional rollercoaster that is Football Manager 2008.

I will be starting a new game with Liverpool obviously. I've just loaded it up and will post regular updates, normally monthly.

I would like to welcome any newbies to the Liverpol thread and do hope we get everyone from last years coming back. I'd also like to apologise for not posting here much recently.

I started the Liverpool game on FM08, must say I'm disappointed with the transfer budget, only 8 mil, increased to 14 with wage cuts, so that doesn't leave with a lot. I don't want to sell Harry because I couldn't get any fair money and I don't want to sell him for scrap. Also Yossi and Andriy won't leave until I give them at least half a season to show off.

2 Friendlies played:

AB 0 - 2 Liverpool
Torres (1 out of 8 shots), Xabi Alonso

Randers (I can't recall, but some Danish club) 1 - 3 Liverpool
Torres, Kuyt (pen), Voronin

The first game was great, over 20 shots and I have to be happy, but the second one they had as many shots as we did. Maybe the problem was fatigue, the team started at 88% approx. while they started with everyone on 100%, playing a narrow direct 4-1-2-1-2 is tiring
