Default A Credit Card Action

Hi peoples of PSG!

Just wanted to post this Action up for anyone that might find it useful. Or, you could just decipher it to learn from it if that's all you want.

This was created on behalf of a member over at the psT forum, to help him out with his problem in creating this effect with an Action. It was done to show that it could be done, and because i felt like a challenge. B7

Below is a copy of what the Action will create. As well as the files you'll need. You'll find that the Action contains versions for both PS7 & PS CS.

It should be noted too that this Action will by default create a card designed by Darklin, from psT. So if you want it to create one in your own style, just "Record Again..." the steps you want to change. Please don't use his style verbatum, ok?

And if you do change it, post your results here for us to see! [righton]

Enjoy!

PS: oh ya... i also wanted to say that i don't mind the Action getting "passed around" so-to-speak... but i'd like to retain the credit for it, ok? Thanks guys. [honesty]

Any problems/questions/comments, post em.

Default Hey Keeper

Hey, I was just wondering why we who still have to use PhotoShop 5.5 | get picked on!
No, the thing is this, I can develop a lot in 5.5, but I don't want to download that zip file unless I know I'll be able to mess with it in my program. And only recently I realized that I could make actions in PhotoShop. I'm not new to PhotoShop, but since I have had to teach myself, and haven't had much time for accessing forums like this before, I am not skilled in all areas I could be. Kinda unbalanced in a way, you feel me? Any way, please let me know if this is compatible with 5.5.

Hi EBeth, welcome to the site. [righton]

It's never been my intent to single anyone out with anything i do on this site. Trust me, i went 2-3 yrs longer than anyone else on the Web so far as leaving antiquated material online.
But after some careful considerations i simply decided that it was impossible for me to maintain material that can apply to ALL the versions of PS -- as much as i wouldn't mind doing that -- it's simply an unrealistic goal for me time-wise. Especially these days. [confused]

And unfortunately EBeth if i had to guess i'd say that no, this action is probably only useable to those having PS7/8. I don't even think PS6 would run it because Adobe have switched around several menu items/functions between these versions.

So... don't feel completely alone in your dismay here.

Sorry. :{

Default Thank anyway

Thanks. I just wanted you know. There are many tutorials and things out there that I can break down and utilize in my PS so that is okay that I can't do this one thing for now.

Thanks. I just wanted you know.
I picked up a Photoshop 7 upgrade on eBay for $75.

Previously, I'd been using 5.5.
