Default Creating brush strokes?

Hey everyone I am working on a paint pallet and need to add brush strokes. I want to give the effect that some one whiped the brush through the paint and then dabd it on the pallet. Make sence? I hope so.

I am not done yet, I actually just started, but I couldn't figure out how to go about the brush strokes so I figured I would ask.

Thanks
Keith

In the PS brush palette try some of these brushes Keith,and try using them with the smudge tool,or just sample your colours and paint them in.

Those are one of the default brush libraries loaded with Photoshop. You just have to append them to the basic brushes. Check the online help files (F1) for the specific steps to load them into your Brush palette.

And also have a look at Adobe Studio;

Lots of extra brushes you can download and load inside Photoshop by selection "Loading brushes..." at step #3

Have fun and show us how you're doing Keith

I made this today,gives a nice dry brush effect,might be useful for the palette as well.

Just for people who dont know how to get the image into PS as a brush

Save the brush image to your desktop or a PS work folder,then open it in PS and use the retangle selection tool and put a marquee round it,next go to edit in the top menu and browse down the sub menu until you get to "define brush".Give the brush a name {also click ok} and it will be saved to your current brushes
