Alright these are the steps you need...
Step 1: Get a render of you player
Step 2: Create a new 500x200 px document
Step 3: Create a background color or texture
Step 5 (optional): Place the players name or text on the document
Step 6: With render layer seleceted...Select - Load Selection, Select - Expand (around 5px) ... New layer. Then fill the selection with any color
Step 7: Use grunge brushes to create the border

don't like your sigs much but your walls are waaaaay better and cooler. The tutorial was alright though.
