I don't mean to bitch or anything, but the ads on the forum are getting out of control. They're more noticable than the banner itself. Any chance you guys could make em disappear?

It takes money to run a big site man. No one clicks them if they are in one spot, so you gota do what you can to generate more revenue. Imagine that we have 300,000 unique visitors each month and we use about 300 GB of bandwidth every month. You add that to new skins to the forum and upgrades to the latest software and our own dedicated server and you get a big operational price. Then you also factor in the investment we want to make for the new site and it gets quite costly.

If every active member donated $1 we would be set and we would not have any ads. But no one would donate, and those that would are in small numbers. So the ads can't go away, they are not too much of a bother anyways. If you think what is good for this site, you'd encourage more ads to have more revenue to improve the site. I like plain white space too... but it's not always that easy. :/

If you don't want to see the ads, download Firefox with Adblock plus.
Disadvantage: soccer-art don't get any money...

Another disadvantage: Soccer-art doesn't exist anymore without money to pay for the hosting/domain/updates/new site.

We are doing fine on money right now, but more money is more progress for soccer-art. We are only as good as our worth.
