I'd try a "cutout" effect to that face just to experiment. What do you think?

Mmz, interesting, i think was thinking about the same, i think , also doing a completely remake only the same render. ill try to find some tut bout the "cutout" effect. I just need to practice alot to get on a decent level again... thinking about swapping from cs2 to cs3 already got cs3 installed but didnt use it yet. thanks for the comment

I meant the simple cutout from Filter - Artistic - Cutout, but I tried it myself and it wasn't cool. It should have been something like that famous Che Guevara picture. But it looks good like this anyway.
I have tried something myself. Yours is better in the end.

still looks ok but it's even less striking as mine was what do u think about the other one?

I like the background, but I think that blur is making the image unclear. I think you wanted to make the skin more uniform. I've seen some tutorials about doing this to photo models. But they used to keep some parts (mouth, years, eyes etc) untouched using masks( I'm not good with these) or simply rubber to delete the parts from the retouched layer.
