the duotone fonctionality of photoshop is reserved only for printing ; or we can use it for web.Like having an RGB image converting into grayscale and duotone (if thats possible ... then colorising will be more subtle than hue and sat.and more choice)

yes, you can use it on screen. Just convert back to rgb when you're done. The advantage over print is that you see and agree with your results, whilst when working for print, many of the colours you see don not correspond exactly with what will be printed, so a good printed guide with the results is available. Do I have to add it is expensive?
