Default Strangeness while working with some tools in PS-CS

Hi all,

OK, not only is PS-CS S L O W loading but as I was working on an image file with the brush and image adjustment tools I was noticing that the pixels in the image are moving away from the tool that I am using. So if I am using the brush tool, covering an area that needs some black the pixels in the area to be covered are moving and even jumping a little as I'm applying the color. It's not a smooth transition from one color to another. I'ts a bit disconcerting with this occurring as you are working.

It's not the video driver, I just updated it this morning and I've got a good scratch disk asigned to PS-CS and plenty of RAM and disk space.

Any ideas??

Running WinXP Pro (SP1) on a Pen IV/2.0Ghz system with 1 1/2 Gigs of DDR RAM on board.

Thanks

Richard [confused]

mmm... about the only thing i can think of that has any similar effect to the one you've mentioned Richard is the "Use Pixel Doubling" option found under the "Display & Cursors" prefs.

See that that is untick.

Anyone else have any ideas?

Wish we could see exactly what the effect looks like. That might help. But i don't think that's possible unless you record a short movie.
