You have to see here that I was just giving my honest oppinion of him - and that doesn't mean I haven't seen him play. I saw him in Serie A, and I saw him in Champions League. I even saw him in the Italian Cup. Go online and check out the fox soccer channel programme. If you look at it, you will see that there is a whole lot of Serie A football showing every week. In fact, in America there is more Serie A showing than any other league by far. Premiership is next in line, Argentina third. And that's the only chanel that shows games from European leagues in America.

Now, since I obviously watch this channel to see football, I watch a lot of Serie A. It's my favorite league besides the Romanian League and I enjoy watching it. I think Pizarro is good with the ball, but is not good with the final delivery and finish - aka making him a not so effective player. I never said he wasn't talented, I just said he was not effective.

His stats for the past season according to espn soccernet:

Games started: 41
Games sub: 5
Total games played in all competitions: 46
Total goals: 5
Total assists: 7

Serie A games: 32
Serie A goals: 1
Serie A shots: 40
Serie A assists: 6
Serie A yellow cards: 8

Champions League games: 7
Champions League goals: 1
Champions League assists: 1
Champions League yellow cards: 5

I understand that he plays all pretty and shit and you love to look at the little guy fuck with the ball... but that doesn't make him effective. Roma paid about 2 million euros per goal from him and about 1.8 million euros per assist. Not such a great investment in my oppinion, especially from your "playmaker" as they call him.

Maybe you don't watch him play.. or you don't understand what a player that plays his position has to accomplish. Why do you think he couldn't catch the constant first 11 at Inter? Roma needed someone to replace Totti going up a lot more since the sale of Cassano. He was cheap and can do good things with the ball, and they have Totti so why not get him for a good price? You want a playmaker? Get Mutu. End of.

edit:
And just to compare, I will show you the stats of the player that is worth the hype at Roma and who is truly effective: Totti

Goals scored this season in all competitions: 35
Assists in all competitions: 15

He's a playmaker. Pizarro is a ball hog who loses it when it matters and passes it back when it doesn't. If yellow cards counted as goals, then Pizarro would be AMAZING.
Woah.

So Henry and Ronaldinho on the same team? I don't know shit about soccer, but that sounds nuts.

The Henry transfer could be real this time, because he said to France Football that he chose Barca and will spend 4 years there and that he has to pass the medical test on monday.

Ronaldinho--Henry--Messi

That is a pretty fantastic attacking force. Eto'o is young and talented, but he is no where near Henry's calibre - nor will he ever be. This was a good move, and now it looks they won't be needing Mutu for the attack.

i think henry is not much better then eto'o esp. as a center striker.
eto'o is more explosive and even more a killer in my opinion.
henry got a better technique still.
i think deco is gone (chelsea ?)
henry - eto'o - messi
ronladinho
xavi iniesta
toure
chivu puyol zambrotta
valdes

I think, Deco will stay at Barca. He don't have to go anywhere, because he have a good time(best in his career)in Barcelona, so why he have to change club?
And I also think, at Eto'o isn't worse at most forward position. He's very fast and he've great agility. Henry isn't that type of player and he can play a bit back imo.

IMO It will looks like this:
Henry --- Eto'o ---Messi
-------- Ronaldinho --------
-----Deco --- Iniesta -----
---------- Xavi/Toure ----------
---Chivu -- Puyol --Zambo --

3-4-3, OMG. Did you watch Barça games this year? This just can't work without two good wings defensively (Deco [left side] and Iniesta [right side] whereas they usually play center midfielders) . The most probable thing I would see is that :

Henry --------- Eto'o --------- Messi
------------- Ronaldinho -------------
---------- Xavi --- Y. Touré ----------
Chivu - Thuram - Puyol - Zambrotta
-------------- V. Valdés --------------

I'm not happy at all with this transfert, Barça didn't need another crack. And this one is just Joan Laporta's caprice.
