I have Photoshop 7 and I want to create some business cards in Photoshop and then print them.

How? [confused]

How do I set it up so that it will print out on those business card sheets correctly? [confused]

I did one that took me all of about 7 minutes give or take.

It's a huge file though. 1.5mb

If you want it, I can post it somewhere for you I suppose.

I make my own templats in Photoshop:

Business card size:
Width 3.5 inches and hight 2 inches resolution 300

and Tamplet:

With 8 inches and hight 10 inches resolution 300.

I make my own cards, flyers, etc as well. What I do is create a single business card 3.5 x 2 and save that. The take a template like Lily has provided and move a copy of the card into each box so they line up correctly. Then you are good to go on the printing.

It is very easy : Open a new doc. 8 x 10 and show the rulers, then with the move tool make a guides, size of bus.card, and just place the cards like this:

For me an illustration is always a big help, that way if I don't comprehend what is written the pictures can always fill in the blanks.

Well, I am finished. I thought I would share the finished results with the forum.

Keep in mind that this is my first business card design. I made the first one and it didn't work out. The longer I looked at it the more imperfections I saw. So, I redesigned it. It is a business card for the lady who cuts my hair. I don't get paid for it, I just wanted a project to see if I could design a business card, so I told her I would make her some for free.

It will not look as good on the web as it does in print, but here it is:

Well, I am sorry about that. I am still new to Photoshop, so I guess some lesons are learned the hard way. :{

Cloak & Dagger: remember the finish format ( the card itself is only 2D) so the drop shadow and BevelEmboss on the borders may not reproduce your image the way it's viewed on your monitor.
What I normally do is use 1-3 colors and as far as the texture you added that could be done by buying custom card stock when you go to printing.
Just food for thought.
