Default Photoshop CS

Hi everyone. I've been using CS for a while now, and havent encountered any major problems. I think loading speed also depends on how many fonts are installed and how many presets (shapes, styles, etc) are being loaded at runtime. I haven't had any problems with filters including Super Blade Pro. But i have noticed the strange two headed cursor Lee mentioned. I'm not able to reproduce it, but i've noticed it seems to show up after I allow the CS window to lose focus. But I'm always able to get my cursor back without restarting or anything. Hmm. Strange... Other than that I love CS. Besides the major updates (text on path, layer comps), I love the handful of small goodies they added that seem to make working a little faster and enjoyable. - Chris

sPECtre, Thanks for the link. As luck would have it I've already posted there but have not checked this morning for answers yet.

RAMwolf, Thanks, bro. Unfortunately, I got as far as looking in the User Name Folder but did not find a Local Settings anywhere. I also checked in all the other folders the User Name Folder page was on. Nothing.

HI Again Lee,

Go to Doucments and Settings area (are you running XP or Win2000?) then pulldown menu Tools/Folder Options/View tab and make sure you have Show Hidden Files and Folders radio button selected. Click Apply and then OK . Then go to your Personal User Folder (like Lee Soandso) and you will now see more folders and files in that folder (you will see them system wide actually). Now look for the Local Settings folder (it will be slightly less visible but is double clickable), go in there and you will see the Temp folder and now look for the file called SuperBlade cached settings 6 as I stated before the ending number might be different. Delete that file and then see if PS-CS will run SBP for you!

By the way, just to let you know your Temp folder is exactly that Temporaray!! So if you have a few 1000 files in there I would get rid of as many as you can. Start from the bottom of the folder and hilite upwards instead of downwards (the newer files will NOT let you delete them as they are in use still, no biggy) and the hit your delete key. You might see your system speed up a bit afterwards!! [righton]

Richard,

Thanks, my friend. [righton] I found it after I turned on the show all folders option. There was a Super Blade Pro in there as you mentioned. Per your suggestion I deleted everything that would let me. Weather this solves my double arrow problem in CS remains to be seen but at least I have a cleaner hard drive now.

I'll keep you posted.
